Title: Single, Double Or Triple
Post by: kriss_boy on October 19, 2006, 05:02:30 AM
For years Axl has mentioned CD will be a TRIPLE album... but lately ive only heard one quote from some guy in a band who met axl who said that axl confirmed again CD would be a 3 disc affair.

Then in the RS thing it says he played the full album at his party which makes me think the album isnt 3 discs...

Its really important to me that it is 3 simply because it will be landmark and a helluva way to challenge UYIs.

What do you guys think? Axl said 26 aongs were ready but thats not 3 discs is it...

If CD is one album with only 12 or so tracks Ill be pretty miffed.

Well he said 13 are definitely gonna be on the album - but that there is enough material for 3 albums. As to when the other tracks will be released? That's anyone's guess  ???

No, Axl has never mentioned CD being a Triple-disc set. ?He may have mentioned recording three different albums ONCE (maybe twice), but that's about it.

If you're expecting more than one disc of music, then I don't know what to tell you. ?LOWER your expectations. ?

Axl said during Trunk's interview that it would be a regular 13 track CD.

We can assume there's other CD coming after, because he said that some tracks are still bouncing from one record to another.

But apparently Chinese Democracy will be a one disc piece.

He said at the VMA 2002 that they would record 3 at once and release them staggered so they didnt have to go back into the studio....

No one else gona be disapointed if all we get is 13 new songs after this length of time? I mean, an hour, 70mins max of new stuff after him repeatedly saying how many songs were being made and the possibility of 3 ablums being released.

It'll be a slow start but once the ball gets rolling it's going to go Triple...IMO...because you have, we: "the diehards" that will snatch it right away, then you have the fans from years ago that have since forgotten who will buy it out of curiosity and then you'll get the new fans who get hooked on the new single/video.

It think we will get more.. I mean I doubt this will be the last from gnr... but as a musician does it not defeat the purpose to have all these other good songs recorded and in the can but then declining to play them live nor release them.

BUT... axl has also said they will release it as 3 parts with touring inbetween each... I jus pray hes gona stick to that original plan.

Someone must remember the news/quote from some singer guy who met axl in a bar and chatted about CD. This semi famous singer said axl said it was still 3 CDS. This was within the last 6 months or so.

How is this a dead horse topic.....

We cant talk about the only decent piece of news we've had this week so why not let me have this one.

Because it is something that has been discussed already many many many times
