If this particular Chinese Democracy tour is to promote the album, a date when people can get their hands on what is being promoted would be a smart move.

Barring some crazy situation, which of course can happen with gnr, if the album is actually ready for release this year there is no reason for them not to announce a release date before the tour starts. Meaning that the only reason we would not get a release date before the tour starts is if the album is not finished yet, which means that it won't be released this year. So I guess we'll know one way or the other by next Tuesday.

So keep checking amazon, hmv, etc.
