Goodness gracious. SCOM on the GN'R MySpace page has over 2 million listens!!! Sheesh. I kinda feel bad for YCBM on there. I personally like it just as much, if not more than SCOM or WTTJ.

SCOM has been on the GNR profile page since it was created, I think YCBM was more recently added.

YCBM doesn't have as many listens because it was just added when they updated the profile. So was UTLH. I think they had Patience and Nightrain before. SCOM's been there since 2004.

I hate to say it guys, but there's no way GN'R are making it to #1 in top band. We're over 6000 behind Hinder and not gaining ground on the other bands. Let's at least try to get #1 in Best Friend, since that's the best category that we still have a chance to win.

Well, the 1st day we started this campaign we had 45 votes.  I would say we gave a pretty good effort here.  Obviously by the amount of votes we put in and the amount of votes other bands have this site gets a lot of traffic.

I agree with Bandita... keeping them in the top ten will drive some people to GNR's myspace site. However, this also puts the GNR name out there in a really big way.

I mean... do you guys have any idea as to how many people are taking part in this thing by voting for their favorite band?? The numbers are MASSIVE... and guess what... everyone's typically curious to see who's in the top ten.

So, what happened to all of the people around here who were so gung-ho about this thing (the voting) when we first started?

How is this any less important now than it was in the beginning?  (rhetorical question)

Are we going to take the #1 spot as we'd originally hoped?  No, I don't think that's going to happen at this point. 

However, this whole thing (in my mind) was never about winning some stupid contest... it's been about seeing and capitalizing on a great opportunity to promote this band to the best of our abilities. 

It's been about reminding as many people as possible that Guns N' Roses are still around... and that they're still a force to be reckoned with.  It's been about uniting the GnR community around a common cause... one of sharing & promoting this amazing band to the world... and quite frankly, they can use all the good promotion they can get.

I know we've shocked so many people by keeping GN'R in the top ten for these past few weeks and I hope we'll continue to do so... at least for a couple more days.

Let's take promotion into our own hands by voting.
