I am with you on that one.  I am sure the Iowa show will be GA too, but if it isnt, I will get floor seats for that show.  Otherwise front rowish in the lower level nearest to the stage is where I am aiming for.

Lower level, or the floor, you're younglings, you can handle it. Nice to see some teenagers have some taste these days!! You'll have a blast.

Are the best sections 129 and 113 or are they too close to the stage?  I want to be as close as possible but do not want to look at the side of the stage.  It is had to tell on the seating chart.

yeah, that is a tough one. I think the best bet is to call or go to a box office on sat and make sure you don't get the seats that will be behind the stage.  I am assuming seats are arranged, whether numerical or alphabetical from left to right....so something like row 1, seat M or something could be a good seat.

I like to have  a seat waiting for me so I don't have to stand for 3-4-5 hours to get a kickass spot on the floor.  I want to just show up at about 10ish and not have to waste my excitement standing and waiting.  Its just what you prefer. If I was 5-10 years younger I prob would have got the floor tickets

Bach for sure, don't know who else yet.  Yes, they will be lucky to get as many as they did in 02' 6-8 thousand depending on who you ask (i think around 8).  HOPEFULLY there will be a single on 93x at least month before the show.  Doubt it though.

I was at that show at the Quest too....amazing to see slash and duff that close up in such a small venue.  I was standing by a bunch of people who were there just getting their GNR fixes....They were chanting..."guns n roses....guns n...."  Well, I actually joined in on the chant too.

Looking forward to my 3rd Target Center GNR show!

I was at that Quest show as well, upstairs looking down right above Slash. Matt came out during Silvertide's set and no one but me even recognized him.

This'll be my 4th Target Center GNR show and 13th overall. Still thinking about going to Ames the night before.

I agree.  I hope they get more people than last time but who knows.  I think if they can get the cd out it won't be a problem but if nothing comes out before the show I think GN'R is in for a big dissapointment.  I'm still going and got great seats but I really hope there is a bigger crowd for this one.  I had a great last show but I know they could sell out the whole thing if they had some new material.

By the way, I was also at the Quest show when VR played and it kicked ass.  It was fun seeing them so close and then seeing them at the Xcel the next time.  Xcel is a much better venue than Target Center but who cares.  I am so pumped to see GN'R again because I think they are at their best right now.

Funny,  I let 3rd row seats go for that same reason.  I was about to push the "buy" button, then didnt. But then I realized its not like Axl has his dropout cronies sitting in some warehouse collecting the money and wiring it to an offshore account.  The website is backed my MLB and Tickets.com, so I am certain there would be some recourse if the show were to be canceled. The no refunds is for fans who change their mind, not for axl to change his.

Ticketmaster is offering a Premium Reserve Seat Auction on sale Friday at 10:00.  It looks like they are auctioning off sections 129.130,113 and 112 rows A & B.

I think you bid for these seats.  Go to Ticketmaster for more info.

The only thing I didn't like about buying them through gunsnroses.com was the mandatory shipping charge, with ticketmaster you can atleast get it emailed to you.

Yeah, according to the venue, there will be risers infront of the permanent seating.I imagine that is what they are auctioning off too...so 5th(row E) seats for each section that someone bought at gnr.com will actually be like 10th row. I am not going to cry, but I am going try and get the "premium" seats for the Iowa show though.

I think that Ticketmaster still charges a "Shipping Charge" for emailing you electronic tickets, as wierd as it may sound. All tickets places find a way to add on additional charges.

Did Target Center tell you they were adding riser infront?  Is this in front of sections 129, 130, 113 and 112?  I just got an email from target center telling me they know nothing about the action this is a ticketmaster thing.

Yes, via email. Risers would be in front of all the reserved seating. ? If you look at the tickets.com venue seating chart, you will see a small section kind of sticking out in section 129 and continuing along the rest of the reserved seating.? I am assuming that those are the risers she was talking about. I hope my contact doesn't know shit and they actually arent going to be risers, but looking at this particular venue seating chart, it is concievable.

Yeah, I am not too worried...just kind of bumbed that my "5th row" seats are really like 10th row. Not a huge deal.  My contact did say the risers would be 5 rows, then my seats would be 5 rows up from that. Sucks they didnt sell the riser seats for the presale. Or maybe they did and they all sold quick or something.

I contact Target Center and asked her if my front row seat would still be front row and here is her response (I am in section 111)

"They will be front row seats.  Sometimes when they have reserved seating on the floor they will put raisers in front of some of the section, but this time they are not."

So we have conflicting accounts.

Nice, I am going to choose to believe your contact then..seem to make sense about the reserved floor seating rationale..5th row baby!! haha  I doubt they would put risers only in front of my section, but who knows.

The riser section is sec 102 rows 1-10. I had seats there when I saw GNR at the Target Center back in '92, if your tickets don't say sec 102 row 1-10 then you are not in the rise section, these are actually really good setas though because you can easily see over everyone on the floor.

There have been some updates to Target Center since the last GnR show there so hopefully the sound will be better than last time.  I saw Tool there last month and they sounded good.  Still wish it was at Xcel Center instead though.  I'm going with my wife so we got reserved seats, otherwise I would have done GA.  2fer1's at Brothers before the show...A quick cocktail at NBA City on the way in...  Any word on who will be playing between Bach and GnR?

It has to be full house.  They are selling sections 129, 130, 113 and 112 and these sections are not in half house seating.

Why are there so many saying that they would prefer to see them at Excel?  I was hoping that with Target Center being smaller you would get a better view of the band etc.

Its is a full concert. If it was a half house I would not have been able to buy tickets in the section that I did. I kind of wish is was a half house so they would have a chance at another "sold out" concert to add to their press releases.

have a good problem to have.  To my surprise, more of my friends actually want to go to the show even with the higher ticker prices.  Unfortunately I only got 4 tickets, 2 tickets short.  Did anyone get any tickets in section 129, either row D, E, or F? I have 4 tickets in row E seats 11-14.  I am looking get a couple more tickets around those seats.  If anyone has any extra tickets around that section, please let me know as I would like to try and work something out with you.  Thanks.

Hey guys, check out www.93x.com? you can of course listen to win tickets, but the funny thing is you can qualify to win a guitar signed by Slash.

EDIT: I was just listening to 93x online, and they had a commercial for Gn'R, and at the end they said listen and win Slash's guitar, followed by a clip of Slash saying something along the lines of Hey, it's Slash from Guns N' Roses and you're listening to 93x" ........lol, talk about misleading

Yeah, thats pretty sad.  But hey, maybe more people will go to the show because they are fooled into thinking slash is in the band, and then pissed that he is not. Hopefully the DJ's will make it clear that slash is not in the band, but rather making VW commercials.

EDIT: I was just listening to 93x online, and they had a commercial for Gn'R, and at the end they said listen and win Slash's guitar, followed by a clip of Slash saying something along the lines of Hey, it's Slash from Guns N' Roses and you're listening to 93x" ........lol, talk about misleading

oh how I was slash was back in the band
Yeah, thats pretty sad.? But hey, maybe more people will go to the show because they are fooled into thinking slash is in the band, and then pissed that he is not. Hopefully the DJ's will make it clear that slash is not in the band, but rather making VW commercials.

On the way home from school some guy called into 93x asking if Slash was going to be playing on Dec 2nd and the DJ was like no but he said that even he thought the advertisement was misleading. Then the guy was like damn that kind of sucks but then the DJ was like Sebastian Bach will be opening and then he said I am totally going now haha.

makes sense to me..it was silly to do something like that...they did take the promotion off the website too.

The pre-sale is done at gunsnroses.com
When you click on "buy" it now takes you to ticketmaster for the sale tomorrow.

FUcking ticketmaster.? $96.22 for one GA ticket?? fucking fees and stuff...

but what matters....is I got my tickets!? I could only afford one right now....so if the floor doesn't sell out I am going to snag another.....

what's the word on a HTGTH get together pre-show?? ?I"m assuming we're all (with floor) are going get there extra early to assure being down front?? ?we should have the HTGTH contingent front and center!

 : ok:

sorry don't usually have this much excitement.? but I just blew $100.00 on a concert ticket to the best band of all time and I'm a lil stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D? ?

Somebody was saying something about a bar right by the Target Center. I am meeting some friends I haven't seen in awhile, so I will be skipping the pre-party. aslo, don't worry about gettign there early, it's easy to get up front. When "Jungle"starts, and everyone starts jumping, you can easily run forward and push everyone out of the way when their in the air....lol, at least that works for me :) I will be there on time though cause I wanna see Bach.

I am excited for you.  I too am excited.  I have been walking around with my gunsnroses.com ticket printout in the office making sure I show everyone.

More people than I thought are going to this show. 3 People from work bought 4 tickets each, plus I have more friends who want one of my tickets than I have tickets.  You should be able to get more floor tickets without an issue, at least for the time being.

And as far as the HTGTH get together....my wife thinks I spend way too much time on this website as it is, so actually meeting people from it would def put me in the dog house...Plus I have a total group of friends/coworkers of 14-15 people who have tickets, and will most likely meet up with them.

woooohooo...gnr weekend on 93x.com
