Don't cry being re-released?  :o

I can't see this happening, unless its a cover by another band or perhaps the new line up (very unlikely).  It wouldn't make sense to put out the original recording within (hopefully) a matter of days/weeks of Chinese Democracy and the lead single off it.

Madness, that said it would be cool to have Guns chart again - great song.

The only part that doesn't make any sense to me is the charity it's supposed to be raising money for...

Didn't Axl once say he was against strict organized religions or something to that effect? ???

BUT Don't Cry being re-released (hopefully current line-up recording) :o : ok:

I don't think that would have anything to do with him having symptahy for a bunch of slaughtered innocent girls, or wanting to help their families out.

With all the major tragedies and catastrophies that have occurred over the last five years, it's weird that the Amish school shooting of all things would motivate Axl to donate a song.

Yeah

I know what you mean

I mean, people getting shot is bad, but there's been lots of other incidents/disasters.

I think this is balls, I've heard nothing of A GNR re release not only that but what lousy odds there's not a hope of that being xmas no 1 even if it was released again so 8/1 is a lousy investment. I hadn't heard of the Greenday U2 thing either is this true?

I meant that the uk charts around X-mas or lambasted with crap, only 12yr Girls buy singles anymore, and their generaly fans of any thing that dude Simon Pop idol does, and will buy it no matter what.

Xmas is a funny old time. Remember Iron Maiden slipped into the no.1 slot one Xmas  with bring your daughter to the slaughter. There were Iron Maiden at no.1 and not a radio station or TV channel in the land would play the track  :hihi:

If Gn'R released a single just before Xmas, i would imagine that it would sell damn well (providing the album isn't already out).

Iron maiden had a new years no.1 not a X-mas no.1.

'Slaughter' went No. 1 a week after Xmas for two weeks.

I've not heard anything about a charity single. The Westlife and U2/GD singles are out late Oct/early Nov. Not exactly Xmas fodder.
