Well, for the Hammerstein shows there was a legit reason. But doing them at this point in my opinion isnt necessary. There isn't a huge demand outside of the forum world, no promotion, and scalpers will get tickets even if there is a 100 passwords to a presale.

For the simple fact the people who have been around for a few years are the ones who deserve the passwords. We dont want any noobs, or some other non-related gnr site coming along and stealing them.

Anyways i dont think the password needs to be guarded sooooo heavily, but it ensures that the real fans will for the most part get the best seats. I think its awesome that these presales have been put together for the hardcore fans.

This probably was not the best way to introduce yourself to a new forum. Anyways, like everyone has said they are guarded so that scalpers have a harder time and the real fans get a better shot.

it is true that "noobs" dont deserve a password from this site, I didnt get one..I havent been here long enough, but just because someone is a "noob" to this board doesnt mean he/she is not a huge fan..I have been checking this site every few hours for YEARS!!! probably since like 99, I always check the news,I just never posted on the message board...now that I know thats how it works, Ill be sure to stay up to date on the board....and for those of you still complaining about passwords...this is for you...NONE OF THE SHOWS ARE SOLD OUT YET...except for halifax,, so what difference does it make if you got a password or not???

Well, because otherwise we would have nothing else to talk about, and seeing as we've rehashed every other complaint in the GNR users manual two thousand times, little to complain about either.
