Axl shouldn't associate himself with either SuperBowl, VMA, Grammy, TRL or any other braindead, commerical jippo event.  99% of everything and everyone in these kind of events is something every sane human being should stay the fuck away from.

Axl don't need the money nor the publicity. He has the abillity to stay real, and that's what he should do.

Naturally I don't have anything against the actual sporting event. But it feels like the football becomes a lesser part of the super bowl every year. Now it's more about washed up sell outs, talentless singers and greedy corporations using the event to promote all of their useless products.

Ummmm....Football here, is just like Soccer in other countries dude...it is a religion......the most exciting thing to watch for anyone anywhere is to hot lesbians in person going at it before they move on towards you....believe me..... :peace:

I love football, but at times it can be REALLY boring to watch.  Lots of time between plays and TONS of commercials.  If its not my team (the reigning champs!!!) or I dn't have a bet on a game its tough for me to watch sometimes.  Lots of BAD teams in the NFL this year.

Hockey is much faster and exciting to watch on TV. 

Anyways, back on topic - must be a slow news day.  this is just such a  ::)  idea.

There are way too many commersials during football......it is because the ratings are so high....Football will always be America's passion regardless.......I like hockey but it is the 4th most popular team sport in the US.......that says a lot....to each there own... :peace:

not been to a hockey match yet (not here anyway) looks good. Rounders was pretty good to watch in person. though I don't think AF holds a candle to Rugby in terms of flow of the game and the player's individual intelligence. I do quite like america as a country though. (well, the people)

In all honesty, his voice isn't good enough to carry that song.  Don't get me wrong, I love the way he sings and the rawness that goes with it, but it needs a more refined singer to pull it off.

It is a bad idea but back in the day....Axl used to be able to sing anything.....and he came close to doing so.....remember all those classic rock artists he has sang with? Tom Petty - Free Fallen for starters....that WAS AMAZING....

If Axl did it, it might be slightly better than Roseanne. BUT I did like something I saw some1 post somewhere else, it would be awesome to see GNR play the superbowl. The odds tho... If the album is a hit, then we can bet oon it.

That would be a good idea if Axl and the NFL want to look like idiots.  That being said who knows maybe he'll sing something for MLB, seems like a better shot there.  THat being said the national anthem is a hard song for almost everyone to sing, even people like Whitney Houston record it now before they sing it, I think 1/2 the people watching would find it offensive and the other half would think it sucked.  Now if you wanna get Geoff Tate or Sebastian Bach to sing it that might work.  Not that there better rock singers, but they are better classical/operatic singers.
