Not yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if its Avenged Sevenfold.

It would be pretty cool if the Rolling Stones opened for them

Not going to happen

But would still be pretty cool

I think its the Killers. Unless they have dates booked or something.

I really can't see it being the Killers. They really don't need to open for anyone - they've been headlining for a while.

Also - if Axl called A7X and said "Hey guys - want to open a few shows for us?" They'd be all over it.

It won't be The Killers. They're touring the US right now and head straight to Europe afterwards. I heard a rumor that AFI may open a few shows after they return from Australia towards the end of November. Wouldn't surprise me since they're huge GnR and Sebastian Bach fans.

i love AFI's music.  you guys just pretty much base it on what the band looks like and their latest single, pretty ignorant.  AFI has some decent punk albums earlier in their career, and their 2003 album, Sing the Sorrow, is pretty awesome, not too sure about their newest album though.

its probably gonna be different bands for each show.  i would love it if kid rock opened the detroit show.

I would'nt have a problem with AFI either - I can't take too much of them at one time , but I'd like to see em live

Kid Rock would be cool for all the shows after Papa Roach. Kid Rock has no dates for the rest of the year.

I'm leaning towards that.   : ok:

Exactly how does the opening act get selected? Do they need to share the same label or can the band simply invite someone?

Kid Rock would help sell the shows out. He got a HUGE reaction when he hit the stage at Hammerstein.

New Kid Rock material is good. I wouldnt mind seeing him in Jersey with the band.

I say, at least for the Midwest Dates, they should get The Hold Steady.  Their new album which just came out is incredible!!!  They play that boozy, autobiographical, hard rock that would mesh well with GNR!

I don't mind Kid Rock, but I don't wanna deal with him during Nightrain. We're already gonna get Bach during My Michelle, and while that was cool to see once, I don't even want to see that ever again.

Kid Rock would be o.k., but I don't think it'll be him.

The new AFI album is another step forward for them. The people on here who hate them have no idea they have been around over 15 years and have released some great punk albums. AFI fans unlike Papa Roach fans are FANATICAL meaning that they would easily pay $75 to see them play a one hour opening set. Of all the bands mentioned, AFI would bring in the most fans. Thank God Papa Roach is only on for 2 weeks, god do they blow!

Exactly, not going to happen.

Let's hope anything other than Bullet For My Valentine. I had the unfortunate opportunity to hear them open the NY show on 5/15. I know there's some people on this board that had to put up with them the entire European tour, and to those I say "Your true GnR' fans."  :hihi:
