Here Today... Gone To Hell!

I work in a HUGE store that carries everything from groceries, toys, appliances, etc.? (Similar to Wal-Mart, except bigger and better).? Since I'm an assistant manager I convinced the higher ups to play some NEW GN'R material to everyone.? Better and I.R.S seem to hit it big with everyone I'm working with.? I'd say I've turned at least 90% of the employees at my work into NuGN'R fans.? On top of that I've handed out several copies of all NEW tracks to people with the tag line written in marker saying "Chinese Democracy will be out in the next 13 Tuesdays..buy it".? Any party or any chance I've gotten to play the NEW GN'R stuff in front of people I have taken full advantage of.? I don't know if they're just trying to be cool but EVERYONE thats heard it, loves it.? My promotion has started toward the album, when will GN'Rs?!? I know they're trying but it's just not enough, guess I just need a little patience.

Jesus dude.....that's a DAMB good job on your part in promoting GNR.....listen dude, you are definitely in the WRONG line of work.  You should be in marketing or advertising....you don't need a degree for that......Excellent job..... : ok:

The funny thing about that is I'm actually in college right now getting a degree in that field.  I've got a little more then half of my school knocked out, so hopefully it works out.  Maybe I should get a hold of Merck and GN'R and let them know that there is more and more fans being made everyday from the NEW music. 

Good work.  Yeah, I'm a senior accounting and finance major.  I'm taking a job with the U.S.  Department of Defense but I'd pass it up to work for GNR  :hihi:

WOW..sounds like you got some good stuff lined up.  I just hope this promoting stuff gets the band the credit it deserves.  From my experience playing the NEW stuff non-stop has attracted a lot of people to the saga of CHINESE DEMOCRACY.

Dude, I have actually succeeded as far as that goes...a few of my friends play copies of the new shit in their cars and even have it on their MYSPACE page now and then......I spread it around......

I train athletes and I drive everybody freakin crazy by playing GNR every day.? It's always the topic of conversation when I'm around.? I've probably given 2,000 people in the last couple of years the understanding

I been promoting gnr for the last 10 years, I usually do take the time to throw in 5-6 new gnr tracks when I have a party at my condo or when I am the driver on a road trip. I like to keep the gnr name and Axl Rose relevant in all my friends minds. I want the new album to do well. Virtually all my little cousins can't wait for the new album, a lot of my friends are big gnr fans too!!!

Do you work at one of those Meijer stores by chance?

I've actually gotten a dj at a bar to play Better, and the response was very good. Also, i know a program director for a local rock station and he's a huge guns fan, so i gave him the leaks and now i hear CITR on the radio atleast 3 times a week. People are actually calling and requesting it- atleast that's what i've been told.

i constantly remind my people gn'r are on the way back too! if i go to a really busy place such as a sports game or a mall, i'll wear my '06 tour shirt!

Actually YES I do work at Meijer..I'm 22 now and have been there since I was 16..pretty bad huh:(? I'm on facebook as well man...u should look me up!? I've got an Axl Rose group myself..my girlfriend..as well as plenty of my friends are in it.? I'm lovin every second of this Chinese Democracy saga.? I will CONTINUE to promote the new Guns even when the album hits the shelves.

I noticed there are several groups representing the NEW GN'R on facebook/myspace.  There is definately some hardcore college gunners.  I spotted two GN'R shirts today..old of course, but still representing.

Matt, that's cool. Freakin small world.  I just started it like two weeks ago.  I told my boys I wanted to get 10,000 strong by Christmas.  Spread the word.

 I think maybe the next time i go into Hot Topic or Spencer's i'll see if i can get them to play some of the new songs.

Hot Topic needs to step it up and get some new GNR gear out there.  I've got all the 3x gnr shirts they have.

Meijer is NOT supposed to play ANYTHING besides the music that is already set...even though they do play November  Rain all the time.  I just hope the general public will feel the same way with the new stuff.

its cool that you're doing that, i've sent some songs from my friends but they haven't really enjoyed them so much, even one girl who really likes gnr's older stuff.

Well old GN'R is what made the name...maybe the new stuff will make it something bigger.  I think playing it to everyone before it comes out will make it that much better when it actually does hit stores.  You can tell everyone I told u this would save music...GN'R are back.
