its not on here, gunsnroses.com, or blabbermouth yet but a female friend of mine who has no reason to lie to me and has told me things before that ended up happening in the music biz told me GNR have added a second show at MSG on Saturday November 11th...anyone hear this?

also please dont get into some gay ass discussion about how im trying to be the next 'source' or whatever, the girl is a coworker who is really into rock music, shes worked for some bands like hanson and other junk which sucks but she doesnt lie and has no agenda to tell me this

I'm staying through sunday morning... so I could easily grab a ticket for this since I'd be there already!

If this is true would be pretty cool and I would have to go to this one also.  ;D It would fit in the tour just fine.

Just checked MSG's website.. there is heavyweight boxing in the venue on the 11th.  However, they could play the theater.....

i doubt they are adding a show in the NYC area, the show in NJ at continental still has lower level seats available, that might not even sell out,,,hopefully it does

Hey BluesGNR I just seen that also about the boxing. after seeing that I'm sure they will not added a 2nd date. Dec 31 is an open date on the event calendar.   ;) Would be cool to see it for NYE but I know that won't happen with all the shit going on in times square.

Yeah I'd love a New Years date on the east coast... I know the borgata in NJ has been toyed with through the rumor mill...

the msg site also still only has don omar listed, doesnt even have gnr....

ive heard rumors of the borgata too but they are just that, rumors...my friend told me this msg thing was for sure

don omar is at the theater on the same night.  go to the second page and GNR is the first listing.

I mean I was always kind of surprised they only booked one night as MSG. Axl loves NYC, i'd think he'd want to do at least two shows.

I don't think your friend is lying or intentionally trying to trick you or anyone but theres a lot of misinformation out there. two of my coworkers told me that slash and izzy are going to be back for this tour and they were dead serious and sooo excited. it was kind of funny.

Yeah I ran into an old fan, who was dead convinced it was a full-fledged reunion. That Matt was back on drums, Izzy was back on rhythm, and Matt & Izzy brought Slash & Duff back.

I replied, "and lemme guess it's 1990 and they're about to go into the studio to record Use Your Illusion right?"

"Dude, nothing even close to that is happening".

It's amazing how there are so many misconceptions.  Hopefully this tour and some larger scale press will clear it up.

While a second show at msg would be great, there is one MAJOR stumbling block... on Nov 11, Wladamir Klitscho will be defending his heavyweight championship on a card starting at 7 PM.  tix are going for between $75 and $400 face, so I don't think it'll be moving around anytime soon... MSG is booked from Nov 4 til the 21st with the only open date being Nov 7.  If the Portland, Maine date on the 6th holds up, then that would mean GNR would be playing 5 shows in 6 nights, and I'm not so sure that's the direction the band wants to go in, especially with the way the tour is being plotted out. 

I'd rather see them take a night off after MSG and book a Philly date... this should sound familiar  :hihi:

I'll make you a deal, they announce a philly date, I'll split a pair of tix wherever with you, hit up pats around 1, have a few at mcfadden's at the Bank (should they somehow have it at the wach center), or at the car, or wherever, then head in-- you in philly or nj?

Yea this is in HUGE promo all over HBO so this certainly wouldn't be moved, not even for GNR.? MSG makes BIG MONEY from Boxing. Then on the 12th, Dane Cook is playing so there really is no convenient place to add a second show.? I think they may come back-HOPING for NYE either here or in Atlantic City since they do still have open time at the end of the tour before going back to CA.

BTW, this topic is kind of misleading, maybe the original poster can change it to, hypothetically if....

I'm sure it would sell out as well, has the first New York sold out yet?  I noticed there is still a BUY icon beside all the shows on gunsnroses.com.  Some of the shows DON'T have the buy icon listed beside them?  Guess they're not on sale yet.

If there is a 2nd MSG show, I'm totally there - I'm still crossing my fingers for NYE!!!  If they do end up adding a Philly date (which would kinda shock me), I will go back. 

I have to think they are going to do something with all that open time at the end of the year...here's hoping!   : ok:

I think we'd know about a 2nd gig by now... unless they pull something last minute, which would be uncharacteristic of GNR  :hihi:
