Title: Island article about Axl
Post by: The General on September 30, 2006, 07:14:51 PM
I have tried the best i could to translate it:

There was a time a huge writer said, Hiding is the the easy way out of a riskful game. Axl has more than anyone filled that role. As the mysterious half forgotten frontman of the worlds most selling rock band since 1986 moves on, the world find the notorious keeper of the industri most wanted and white & blue elephant more and more mysterious.
I must say that Axl has done it in his way. That maby was the only way to go. There is a stronger will and soul behind what he not have done the last decade rather than what he have done. With shit been throwing from a scale from 1 to 10, the frontman has been keeping quiet. There was times when the band Velvet revolver (past members of GNR) was throwing tons of shit about Axl just to keep him down and away, that shit vanished the last year or so. Maby VR understood that Axl had a talent that was something above what VR was making. Or maby they understood that Axl is a fair guy and and maby he could have the chance to have a revange someday.
For those people that are Axl fans its hard to belive that the figure should fail.
But for Axl himself he know he is safe if its a failure. Because Axl dont have to talk with the media like he never have done, if its going to failure. Axl dont have to show or write on a website that he have newer seen or constructed for the fans.
Anyway the new songs Catcher in the rye, the blues and IRS is the strongest songs the people in this magazine has heard in a long long time.
And after all, Axl is a free man. He dont need to prove us anything. If Axl conmtinue to write songs as the mentioned new ones and this new band he could keep, he would rule the world the next 5 years.

It was taken from a small rock and roll paper that is against envoirment pullution. They make 1111 copies four times in a year. Its about legendary music people that do something for the envoirment, students and about the pullution of the northern world and the north pole.

Island is a Island that is named Island. Its a small Island that is outside west northern europe. America had a military base there, that base they shut down yesterday. America has taken the responsebility to military support Island. From now on the going to support them with mobile WAR-STATIONS.. nice,
guess those military mobile staions are healthy for the envoirment up there. America found the Island important during the "cold war" with Russia 50 years ago.

I live far from Island. But i know the rock bands newer visit the place. I think GNR should do it, it would be very weird and media positive.

"Anyway the new songs Catcher in the rye, the blues and IRS is the strongest songs the people in this magazine has heard in a long long time."

have they heard 'better'? that is a notable mention.

Good read, thanks for the translation.
