It's a shame, I have seen this movie and never knew about this.

I just found this video today and had to post it.

The director of the film, John Landis, should have been jailed. It may not exclusively been his fault (although he did tell the helicopter to fly "Lower! Lower!" and then told them to detonate the explosion that crashed the copter), but he illegally hired two immigrant children for the scene. They were both killed.

Their parents were on the set and Landis had paid them in cash so no one would know he had hired them illegally.

P.S. Steven Spielberg was on set when this happened and fled before the authorities arrived, then lied to the press and said he hadn't been there. Years later the truth came out when people who had worked on the film that day said Spielberg had indeed been there when Morrow was killed.

You don't really see it, all you can see is a helicopter crashing on top of them.

If I hadn't known it decapitated him, I would have just thought he died from getting crushed by it.

After seeing that however I think John Landis is a real scumbucket. I used to like him but after reading about his involvement, and the things he said afterwards, he's a real sleazebag IMO.

thing is, when you look some of hollywood's big names of today, they do/SHOULD have things on their consciences, if not blood  for some.

now i just steer clear from watching that stuff.

I'm not going to let this become some kind of sick request thread so you can watch people die in horrible ways.

I tell you I can't believe people put this stuff ont he net.  (not blaming anyone here)...just my opinion

That Nick Berg beheading is probably the most horrifying thing I've ever seen, and I am not squeamish. Definitely not something to be posted here, but if you are that interested, send me a PM and I'll send you a link to the site that has it.

It's really not that bad. I mean, if I didn't know any better, I would have just thought it was a special effect. It just seems to crash in front of them, and you can't see much. I wouldn't have posted it if it were truly graphic. I put the disclaimer just to make sure people knew what it was in case they didn't want to watch a video of someone dying.

On that note, some of the things on OGRISH.com make me physically sick. I am not squeamish at all - no horror film has ever made me uncomfortable that I can recall in a physical way - but the stuff on Ogrish make me ill.

I actually don't think that site should even be online - it's sick, sick stuff. Their motto is something like "Open your eyes to the real world" - why the hell should ANYONE ever want to look at photos of a man run over by multiple vehicles, or a man chopped to death with a machete? That's not the real world. That's just violent mania - no one should ever want to willingly view such things IMO.

It's amazing what ends up on youtube.  Is that footage that was used at the trial - or is that what appeared in the movie? No way Landis would leave that it in.
