GN'R/New Kids on the Block parallels. ? on: February 21, 2004, 04:07:22 PM ? Reply with quote -Both dominated the late 80's. -Both faded in the early 90's. -Both eventually broke up around the mid-90's. -Both released a compilation album in 1999 to close out the legacy. -Both have multiple popular message boards with hardcore fans talking about where the former members are right now (sightings, etc.), and rampant rumors about performances. -Both have message boards with hardcore fans that mistakenly still thinks the general public actually still cares about their idols. -Both have the most popular one (Axl/Joey) trying to move on without the old band. (Joey actually got a few albums out, though). -Both have about an equal chance of reuniting. So basically, the day we see Chinese Democracy is the day the New Kids on the Block release their next album.
