Title: The bottom line...

Axl and his band who he wants (and so do I) to be known as guns n roses are going to release an album soon.? They are doing a tour of the states as Guns n Roses, and will be headlining this tour. Slash, Duff et al, aren't in the band, nor will they be unless contact is made between the people concerned and an agreement/reconciliation struck (don't do it Axl).? The current band members will always be compared to the GnR of late 80's and early 90's, because to date, thats their music thats currently on offer.? Buckethead may or may not appear on CD, but will do so as a co-writer of a song or two if he has been involved with this process. He will be accredited a line or two regarding his contrubtion to the recorded material if his work is included. If none of these apply he won't simple as that.

The current band have been touring as guns n roses and as such that's what they are.? The loyal fans following them through the decades can choose to, or not accept this state of affairs, but as far as the band goes what you see is what you get.? It may not be the most dangerous band in the world anymore, but then having gone through that era, it served its purpose then but is an ethos that's now out of date. The press want it if it sells papers, but generally they prefer to diss the band because they (the press) don't get the headlines of old. Axl and co have become wise to the media and the media don't like it.

Guns n Roses have evolved.? Axl Rose was sharp enough to claim the GnR brand and to all intensive purposes saved Guns n Roses.? In anybody elses hands, it wouldn't nor couldn't be GnFR's.? VR has more ex-gunners than the current GnR, but with Scott (or anybody else for that matter) as lead singer, any claims to being more GnR stops dead.

I for one are happy with the state of affairs. Lots of dates done, lots on the horizon. No riots through non appearences, tight shows, getting through issues rather than fcuking off becauses of them.? An album that I am sure will be a hit world wide coming out and best of all, a band which now has longativity attached to it.?

Long live Guns n Fuckin Roses.

Did you write this just to say "ethos?"   ;D

Axl Rose was sharp enough to claim the GnR brand and to all intensive purposes saved Guns n Roses.

First of all: this little blurb is not a something you should start a thread for, use a blog for that.
And secondly, but more off-topic :): you should know the phrase you were looking for is "for all intents and purposes", not "to all intensive purposes". Don't be bummed out about it though, it's a common mistake and a class example of an eggcorn. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eggcorn)

Wow!!  didn't really realize you have moved so quickly from "Headliner" to "Moderater"
