Title: Cameras, Pictures etc.
Post by: Slash_N_Roses on September 27, 2006, 01:48:33 AM
Hey all going to the Halifax show and wondering how everyone else gets their pictures? Is it with a camera phone or do u just sneak one in?

Snuck one in with at the crue concert but I have a feeling that Axl' and CO. will have some tight security.

Lemme know how everyone who posted their pics on here took their pictures

Last week they allowed anything that didn't have a detachable lens. And they didn't want you using flash.

I think it really does depend on the venue, because for the San Francisco show security allowed cameras as long as you didn't use flash or take video.  If the band had a strict no camera policy, security would've enforced it.  I've been to shows at the same venue where that happened.

I too would like to know the answer to this...I've got general admission tickets to the Nashville show (plan to show up 8+ hours before the show to get kick ass seats) and want to bring my camera, but don't want to get kicked out...How is everyone coming up with such great tour pics? ?Are they (the band & security) looking to kick out anyone taking pictures or will I be able to shoot at will without fear?

No, I had my digital camera up in the bands faces half the time, and was directly in front of 3 security guards the whole night. No one ever batted an eye.

It really does depends on the venue and band, but just in case bring a Disposable camera, so if they tell you you can't bring it in at the front when you get check, just throw it away and you lose only a few bucks instead of a $500 digital camera, thats what i did my first night, second night I broguht a digital cam and disposble.  :peace:

It has to do with the venue and the band itself.  Generally it will say on the ticket if it is not allowed.

GNR generally doesn't allow it but it also depends on how hard the security guards are willing to work to stop it.

I do the same and it works very well! As said before, they don't really care if you just bring some small to them worthless digicam.

Yeah, but maybe they still won't take the cameras away at the gates. And you can always try to hide it. Inside the venue security usually goes for the flashes if they are close to it.. If you have a small camera get it inside and if you use flash, don't take like 234 pictures in a row if you're close to security guys. And if you're in the pit, you don't have to worry about it.
