Title: Re: Beautiful disease musicians... Post by: metallex78 on September 25, 2006, 07:20:07 PM www.duffmckagans-rawpower.com has all the info.. I couldn't seem to find any info on what musicians play on Beautiful Disease on that website. I'm pretty sure Mike Bordin plays drums on the album on all tracks, and there's guest appearances by Slash & Izzy on some songs, and I'm guessing that Duff played the rest. Title: Re: Beautiful disease musicians... Post by: Captain P?l on September 25, 2006, 07:28:52 PM i thought duff played drums on all the tracks..
afterall, he did it on the first and on the loaded album.... Title: Re: Beautiful disease musicians... Post by: IzzyDutch on September 27, 2006, 01:56:43 PM On Beatiful Disease it's Abe Laborial Jr who plays drums (I think the same guy who's drumming in Paul McCartney's band) and some others and Duff doing bass/vocals and some guitar parts.. there are a lot of guests on the album. Izzy wrote "Put You Back" and plays the slide guitar on it and he wrote Ridin' Home (which is on Loaded's Episode '99) as a b-side.
Here's a great interview(s) on it http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Lobby/1117/duffsbeautif3.html + other info on it Beautiful Disease (Geffen Records) is Duff McKagan`s first solo release since his departure from Guns N?Roses (one of his previous bands, 10 Minute Warning, re-formed and put out a self-titled EP on Sub Pop in June 1998). While still a member of Guns, McKagan logged a side-project stint with hard rock supergroup The Neurotic Outsiders (featuring former GnR drummer Matt Sorum and ex-Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones). More recently, he played gigs with 10 Minute Warning. Beautiful Disease was co-produced by McKagan and Noel Golden (Sammy Hagar, Dakota Moon, Beth Hart). Recorded at McKagan?s L.A. home studio, it features contributions from former Guns axemen Slash and Izzy Stradlin, as well as Faith No More drummer Mike Bordin, Plexi guitarist Michael Barragan and jazz drummer Abe Laboriel, Jr. The Album? is alternately serious and playful, furious and joyful, thunderous and tranquil. Says McKagan of the inspiration behind it :"To be really honest with yourself - I?d never done that. Once you start being a little bit honest, it get?s bigger. I began to appreciate the little things in life." 1. Seattle Head 4:15? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 2. Who?s To Blame 2:04? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 3. Superman 3:09? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? 4.
