Title: Hunter S. Thompson Tribute Thread Post by: HamsterDemocracy on September 22, 2006, 04:29:23 PM What a madman genius. He was awesome. Loved the guy's writing and his attitude. I didn't agree with everything he said - especially later in his life (he got a bit out there) - but most of it was spot-on.
I also loved his whole style that was born from his devil-may-care attitude. He was always in that bucket hat with the shades and the cigarette holder, what an icon. Title: Re: Hunter S. Thompson Tribute Thread Post by: pasnow on September 22, 2006, 04:37:16 PM Kerouac was better IMHO.

He was the father of the beat generation, Thompson wasn't even really part of the Beat Generation, he was Gonzo's daddy. Title: Re: Hunter S.
