Trying to listen to this right now, but there's just a ton of ads for the radio station streaming.

Now its finally streaming live. Had to go ahead and sit through like 3 mins of ads for their station, but its live now.

Should be about 1pm est when they get around to the announcement.

GNR is crazy if they think they will sell out Key Arena!  I am hoping they are planning on playing the Paramount, or a theatre to rejuvenate the fan base during this first phase of shows.  GNR can sell out large arenas in Chicago, NY, Toronto, and Miami, but I don't know about Nashville, Tampa, Seatle, etc.

Is this a big radiochannel in the US?

has the announcement been made yet.  I'm central time is it going to be around 12 for me?

Not really. Maybe regional but not national. Almost all rock stations in the US do this. They all will set a time for an "exclusive announcement" or something. Most of them don't say who it's for ahead of time though, it's cool that this station is doing that.

GNR, right now, I am pretty sure are banned from playing in Vancouver.  It was part of the deal hammered in lieu of the 2002 incident.

I don't know if this is 100% accurate, but this is what I was told.

Unless this ban was put in place by the city government than it's highly unlikely to be true. Bans don't really work in Canada. People lobbied the government to ban 50 cent from playing in Toronto because of all the shootings linked to his movies shows and music, and he still got in.

They're doing all this for just a concert announcement??  In a dream world, at 11:00 the new single would be played...  But that's in a dream world....

yea, there's no way it could be anything more than a concert announcement. ?a album announcement wouldn't be via radio, and even if it was, it wouldn't be some regional NW radio station (especially considering they just had inland invasion 2 days ago)

Paradise City is my guess.  This is my favorite station to listen to back home.  I almost wouldn't be surprised if they made a big announcement here.  GNR's first ever gig was here.

Yeah, I think it's strange too... I mean, I'm from Tampa and NONE of the stations there played any GNR when the show was announced there...  And considering they're starting their tour there makes me think that this a bit much for just a concert announcement...  But that's just me...
