Title: KOHD: Missing lyrics! Post by: AxlsRoses on September 20, 2006, 09:30:28 PM I remember when KOHD single came out on the Days of Thunder soundtrack. my local radio station still play it sometimes. It had lyrics during the second verse that said:
Mama put my guns in ground, (it wasn't their fault) I can't shoot them anymore (I wasn't even supposed to know) That cold black cloud is comin' down (all things can be healed in time) Feels like i'm knockin' on heavens door (unintelligible) those lyrics in parentheses are gone from the final version we hear on UYI 2. I wonder why he decided to delete them. does anyone remember this version? Title: Re: KOHD: Missing lyrics! That doesn't even rhyme. With anything. This is all lies. Title: Re: KOHD: Missing lyrics! Post by: King Sand on September 21, 2006, 06:15:36 PM "(unintelligible)" ? That doesn't even rhyme. With anything. This is all lies. No, no... They sang it really slowly: "(unnn..intell....igibleeeee)" So you see, it really doesn't have to rhyme. Title: Re: KOHD: Missing lyrics! (unintelligible) means i cannot understand what he is saying. but he is still singing something.? "This is all Lies"? LMAO @ you! I think not, look at neemos and pakistani's post...it's for real! Ask anyone. Title: Re: KOHD: Missing lyrics! Post by: HamsterDemocracy on September 21, 2006, 09:14:55 PM I have it. It exists. It's on the soundtrack for that silly Cruise movie. I would upload, but that'd be illegal. : ok:
BTW, not to sidetrack this discussion, but CRUISING FOR TOM CRUISE should have been the title of that movie, and Tommy boy should have played a racer questioning his own sexuality. Think it would have made it...hmm...less shitty and stupid? Title: Re: KOHD: Missing lyrics! Post by: King Sand on September 21, 2006, 10:57:16 PM I have it. It exists. KOHD with the extra lyrics mentioned above was from the soundtrack for Days of Thunder, a 1990 Tom Cruise (shitty) racing movie with Nicole Kidman. The full song is on the film soundtrack if you want to pay fifteen bucks to hear Axl say a few extra words. Title: Re: KOHD: Missing lyrics! Congratulations Blowupyourvideo! I really love that version. I agree it does sounds a little different. At this point i think it sounds different Because it was mixed differently than the final version. not that it's a totally different version from UYI 2. Just a different mix. Mama put my guns in ground, (It wasn't their fault) I can't shoot them anymore (How were they even suppose to know) That cold black cloud is comin' down (All things can be healed in time) Feels like i'm knockin' on heavens door (Why?...Why did he have to do it?) Title: Re: KOHD: Missing lyrics! Post by: GnR-NOW on September 23, 2006, 06:55:28 PM Of all the versions, I like the 2002 version the best, and the 06 version is good too, its the most true to the dylan version.
