Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Nearly everyone is releasing cds now with a bonus dvd ie Metallica, Pantera, Jimmy Barnes ect. The Guns N' Roses HOB show was ment to be released on DVD bout 4 or 5 years ago so maybe Axl wants to release it with Chinese Democracy. Would be awesome. Just a thought

That would be an interesting.  I don't think he would want old stuff packaged with CD.  CD itself will have enough selling power, doubt there will even be a DVD.

Agree.  Axl should release a GnR documentary that talks about the process of making CD, how buckethead leaving affected the band, and give background about the other members.

Why cant people just be pleased with the chance of getting CD this year instead of requiring that it has bonus DVD's, stickers, patches, buttons, and anything else you can think of? If any of the shit gets released around the same time as CD, trust me, it will be sold seperately.

It'd be amazing to see a behind-the-scenes perspective in the form of a companion dvd, but I'm afraid Axl's way to reclusive for that...

It would be amazing if they have been recording a documentry type video over the past few years, but I really doubt that such a thing exists. The only making of type video we would get is probably a recap of everyone who past through the door over the past decade and an interview with Axl.

But I think we're all getting ahead of ourselves. Let's get the cd first and then think about videos, documentries etc.

I don't think that the HOB DVD will be released officially anyway. Maybe it will surface as a bootleg, but Axl for sure won't release a dvd with Bucket on it. I'd  be happy withe the album alone and I have no doubt that they will release a live dvd sometime down the road if a tour is happening and CD ist out.

i think the HOB issue has changed in the last 5 years ( back then it was an up-to-date concert....)     but it would be a nice gift though......

perhaps axl?s gonna make a special edition for users of htgth...

a DVD would be fantastic for sure.
but I don't expect Axl to release a "Some Kind Of Monster" type of documentary, would be awesome though!
Maybe he'd do like Foo Fighters and Jane's Addiction and just put a 20-30 minute documentary with the making of the album and the (hopefully) forthcoming video as a DVD with the album.

I want a shot of botox , a collage , a signed nena 8x10 , 10 tips from tommy on how to kiss ass better , a printed lesson from pittman on how to look cool when you're really not doing anything onstage & a gift certificate from Dizzy to buy another part of his soul on ebay , all included with my purchase of Chinese Democracy.  :peace:

I do agree that CD on its own is enough! I'd certainly spend a few extra bucks and it would be cool to have something else bonus. But either way not fussed.

A good DVD would be all axls favourite appetite songs from the 2002 tour in the same setlist as appetite,so that way axl gets to release appetite by the new band after all.he could put the new faces on the cross and print it on the disc.thatd be cool.

  Along these lines, how about covering the front of the album with pictures of random rumors from the past 7 or 8 years...Lionel Richie, Shaquille O'Neal, Moby, a nice neon Mobil Pegasus sign, Sara McGlaughlin, hair transplants, morphed photos of Axl weighing 250 pounds, words like My Favorite Pillow, Keep on Rising, etc.  Oh fuck, I just want the album...and one sentence in the credits to us loyal Gunners.   : ok:

It seems the latest measure to fight piracy (starting with eminem's "eminem show") is to include a free DVD as part of a new albums promotion.  Now some artists (ICP) have even EXPLOITED this and included two DIFFERENT dvds so if you want both you have to buy TWO cds.

Now, first off, do you think CD will include a DVD? (I think it's a STRONG possibility) - and if so, what do you think would be on it?  My call is the Hammerstein shows from May.... and, if they do the two versions od CD with DIFFERENT dvds, maybe one ENTIRE show cut up onto TWO dvds !   We all can hope !

If a DVD is included, I think there will be a compilation from all (most) of the shows they did this summer.

I think The main advantage of having a bonus dvd is to get more potential buyers of the cd to actually buy it rather than downloading it.  It would be a very smart move IMO!

considering AXL has done NOTHING for his fans in that regard you will never see an offical dvd released with the album..must rely on bootleggers

how does a dvd stop downloaders? anyone can rip and upload the dvd for all to download just the same as the audio cd.

it doesn't stop all downloaders but it will make more people think of buying instead of dealing with trying to download and burn the dvd. most people aren't really that tech savvy.

 Along with the actual compact disk, they should include a three week old Italian hero and the severed cock of a black man.
