Estero is by Fort Myers / Naples on the West Coast of Florida.  The closest concert to West Palm Beach (as of now) is Sunrise, which is about 45 minutes south of WPB.

I read the rules (ticketmaster.com is where they are talking about the pre-sale) and it says that usually fan groups or promotors can give out the password.  Isn't this a fan group?

Still have a open weekend on the 21st and 22nd

Pre-sale usually is run through this site along with others. We wont hear anything until last minute to cut down on scalpers. I love that the pre-sale is a thursday, hopefully that will be the case for all the shows.

They should play the Hard Rock in Hollywood (FL) that weekend, but I think it is still going through renovations. 

That would be fine with me, but I still think there will be an Orlando date at a small venue. Too close to Tampa for another arena show.

They could play the Orlando Hard Rock.  Back to the pre-sale thing, would the password be posted as news or on this board?

If there's a presale for this show, there will be somwere to sign up,a nd the password will only be distributed amonst people that signed up for the presale.

However, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever if a presale is planned or not.

On ticketmaster.com it says "pre-sale, Thursday, September 14, 12 noon."

The Ritz-Carlton in Naples is beautiful, wonder if that is where Axl and crew will stay.  I cannot find an official site for KROCK either.  I use to live in Fort Myers, now I'm by Palm Beach, this is getting a bit much :nervous: but I like it.

EFISH, It is odd....speaking of odd, does anybody else think it is odd that there has been no formal press release from management for the US tour that basically starts in 4 days? I can only assume they are waiting to drop the big one on us-Tour, Album, and Single. They can't possibly announce this tour without album release info and expect the tour to sell well. There has to be something big up their sleeve this time. Nobody is ignorant enough to do this again... ???

Merck did once say that the tour and album, everything would be announced at once.

You can still get floor tickets for all the shows, and you can still get lower level seats too. So I would say no.

I just remember that I read on the ticketmaster website that the Estero concert is standing room only, NO seats!  Don't know if that is good or bad!

I've never been in it, I just remember passing it on the highway. Its not very big. What I found states 7,128 capacity for a seated event.

Seems like the size arena they should be shooting for a think. Might be NICE. ;D

I'm wondering if ticketmaster made a mistake in saying that it is general admission and there are NO seats.  If that is so, then why would tickets range in price from $49.50 - $89.50?  Does that make sense to anyone?

Maybe it is something like the joint: Upper and lower level standing room only.

Okay, I just called the Germain Arena and the girl I spoke with said the seats cannot be removed, she doesn't know what ticketmaster is talking about and the only thing "she can think of" is that people won't be assigned seats but can sit wherever they want!!! Still makes no sense! ?

This is too funny.  So EFish?  What did you find out?  The Germain's phone's will probably all be ringing off the walls and cut off anytime now!

You probably should just call back tomorrow. You can call a place and get different answers (this just happened to me today non gnr related.) Sounds like she wasn't sure what was going on and was just speculating. They could very well be able to remove the chairs, but she just thinks they can't, so that is your answer. I'd just call 'em tomorrow and see if you can talk to somebody else. I remember getting the same kind of answers when I called the Joint for the first time. The girl was clueless.

I would hate to work at that arena, They have a Hockey game the day before and the day after, I guess I don't know much about it, but you think it would be a hassle with the floor, or do they just cover the ice? ?

From Miami to Naples, you drive on 1 desolate road for 2 hours right through the everglades. Its actually pretty cool ?;D

It is cool, especially when the alligators and deer are on the Everglades.  There is a really cool little rock club downtown Lake Worth, kind of like Plumm (but dirtier), perhaps Axl and boys will perform an acoustic gig there, now that would be great!

they'd just cover the ice, or at least thats what they do at nottingham's ice arena.

Hello.  Yes, I am alive.  Yes, I have been busy at a level impossible to describe.  Yes, I will be going to the BankAtlantic show as well as possibly this Estero show as well.  I'm going out of town here again in the next couple of days for a week or so but after that things should slow down enough for me to actually be able to post and get back some semblance of a social life.

I'll address anyone else's questions or whatever once I return - and, be assured.. my 'disappearance' had no ulterior motives.  I just suddenly became a man with ALOT of responsibilities and precious little help to deal with them.  Oh well, at least it pays the bills.

Looks like Axl is playing more dates in FL to make up for the one he cancelled in 02. Awesome! I am gonna try to get tickets to the Jax show, since it is 45 miles closer to me than Estero is. Also, Jacksonville is a lot bigger than Estero or Ft Myers for partying after the show.

Is this a festival-like show with more than one act with GNR as headliners?  Seems odd to pin a rock station to the concert otherwise.

 I find it odd to Book so many dates in one state. A Central location like Orlando would have been cool for Florida and then Book some dates in other states.

Orlando would have been closest for me. But it is cool GNR are giving FL 4 venues. Can't say I remember any big act playing this many shows here. Usually its just Tampa & West Palm/Miami.

I hope not, and i think well get a full set. Its a GNR show that happens to fall on the "radio stations bday".. they woulda mentioned other bands or stuff on www.96krock.com otherwise, i think..

I imagine it will be a full set. My experiences with "parties" thrown by radio stations is that the bands playing do play full sets or a little shorter depending on how many bands. I went to a 20th anniversary party for a dj in Philly and they had three bands play: The Hooters, Fuel, and David Lee Roth. I'd say they each played about an hour, with Roth playing a little longer (about and hour and fifteen/twenty minutes). The fewer bands playing (not counting a no-name opening act) the longer each band plays.
