just watching the tokyo dvd, and am i the only one thankful he got rid of those god awful shorts!?!
how stupid would he look prancin aroun now with those things on!? :-[ ::) ???

Axl single handedly makes those DVDs unwatchable with all the stupid outfits... The shorts are the worst though.  <akes a great Live CD though  : ok:

He prolly wears that bcoz it's easier to run around the stage in them. Can't see him doing that in leather pants. Axl's not the kind to stand and sing in one place.

I actually prefer the leather pants to the biker shorts.  I don't mind the shorts, but it's a good thing they're gone now.

Well axl is much older now so i understand that he doesn?t wear them anymore. It may be a little confusing, if a 44 years old man would wear shortshorts at gig?s.

Couldn?t imagine axl singin' WTTJ in just shortshorts and a t-shirt or something.

Not all females feel that way.  I certinally don't.

Maybe its becase I don't find Axl attractive so I'm not overly bothered about seeing more skin.  But I have a habit of laughing when I see those shorts.

Those shorts were great for 1992, Axl would look like some WWE wrestler with them today. The shorts, the dreads, and the on again, off again goatee.

It wasn't kevlar or anything...it was a catcher's vest/chest protector, but I do agree...that was a good look.

The shorts were great, the kilt was even better, but I must admit, he wouldn't look nice in either of them today..

Unfortunately, those shorts have stuck in peoples consciousness of GN'R to this day. I asked a friend once what his first thoughts were when he heard the name "guns n roses" today:

"A crazy frontman on speed running around in tights infront of 50.000 people. An enormous and unecessary drumset. Kinda lika a circus with cartoons."

It's funny, but the same time a little sad. Would've loved for peoples memory of Guns to be the hard and gritty rock band blasting out the hardest rocking songs in a shitty club.
