What do you guys think they should include along with the album as a bonus? some bands give dvds, special booklets etc..

I think there should be a dvd with some live videos on there, which would also get more people to buy the disc.  Also, some exclusive interviews on it as well.

They will probs do two different versions. 1 which is just the CD alone, and another one with a DVD which has band member bio's, highlights from Euro tour maybe, making of the single.

I just want to see "The Making Of Chinese Democracy" and I'll be set  : ok:

just having the album finally will be good enough, anything else they decide to throw in, is just gravy

They would have to have 5 series of that stuff... 30 two-hour shows per series  :rofl:

no bonuses, just a compact disk and a telephone size book of credits :hihi:

JUST the album - focus on the music. every piece of attention and of concentration has to be about the music.

then, later, release ?a "making of" of the album with the official DVD of the Tour.

OR

They could release a Greatest Hits 2 CD to delay things for a month or two. THEN release a tour DVD to delay things a month or two.

Hell, we could easily get another 12 months out of this...

maybe japanese version will have some bonus track(s)

I wonder if he still has the same plan to release some extra tracks that he talked about back in London in 02.  I know you guys remember that.

I think it would be a good idea.  Especially a DVD of the Hammerstein shows ! but if it were just CD id be more then satisified with that.

At this point, all I want is the music itself.  Anything else would be a great bonus, but also a bit of a distraction.  After such a long wait, I just want to enjoy the music...

All I want is the Album, thats it. I'm not asking for anything else. I've waited a long time for this, and now I trust thats its finally coming out and I'm satisfied with the album alone, everybody is asking for more, more, more. Not me.? :smoking:

Just the damn album please. It doesnt need DVD's, bonuses, gimmicks,etc. Just let the music finally do the talking. The album can stand on its own quality wise. Sell the DVD's, shirts, keychains, etc. seperately.

i hope there's a bonus disc of some sort with it. maybe alternate versions/mixes of songs. a dvd of hammerstein would make a kickass bonus too : ok:

while i dont particularly require any bonus stuff with it, i think its a good idea to get more people to buy the disc rather than download it or whatever....

I think Dizzy said at one time that there were like 10 mixes of some songs floating around here and again. It'd be cool to get our hands on some of that.

I'd love a DVD with studio footage of the band recording the album that would be great!! Also alternate versions from over the years would be a bonus. And in the liner notes a description of who plays what/recording dates etc. Am I asking for too much?  :hihi:

i'm sure, that there will be at least 2 versions of the album. geffen/universal are going to try to make as much money as they can by squeezing us out.

maybe we get hammerstein as a bonus or the acoustic surprise-show from the uk.

Unless they sound vastly diffrent to the originals, I would like it if they could release some of the alternative mixes for downloading a while after the album has been released.

Some kind of accompyaning booklet with interviews from the band would be cool. After all, Axl said all along CD is meant to have been a collaborative effort.

For sure, getting CD is long anticipated enough, we don't need any sort of bonuses at this time

Like others said, every bit of attention needs to be on the new material when the album comes out, so any bonus tracks, live tracks, extra cd, making of or anything like that can wait for the moment

and as i previously anticipated, they'd probably need a box set with bonus dvd to cover the making of chinese democracy, demos, outtakes, rehearsal recordings etc, along with a paperback book detailing the contributions, songwriting credits, sessions etc

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of bonus.

Seems like it's one of the ways to actually make people buy the cd these days.

Yeah, they always put bonus tracks, special digipack CD+DVD etc ... nowadays.

As you said it's one of the ways to keep people buying/fighting downloading.

I'm sure the japanese version of the CD will be loaded with a lot of bonuses ...

the CD alone would be great, but if I could 'choose' a bonus, it would be a live DVD.

Although, contrary to most people on here, it wouldn't be the Hammerstein shows, GnR got better and better as the tour went on, so I would have Manchester or the first Wembley date as the gig on the DVD.  Or as they've recorded most gigs, the best version of each song from the shows.
