Here Today... Gone To Hell!

Just wondering how many other players we have here besides me.  Where do you play?  What games are your favorites?

Personally, I'm drew23235 on PokerStars (occasionally on Ultimate Bet and Party Poker too).  Favorite games are Limit Hold 'Em, Triple Draw, and HORSE.  The only live games I've played have all been no-limit Hold 'Em.

I was an obsessive poker player for a good two years. Only when I started becoming a regular on the boards is when I stop playing so much. I played for hours on Absolute Poker (dead money!) usually played 13/50 Limit Holdem. Then I was offered a free 50 bucks at Party Poker and ran it to about 2 grand and played 20/40 Limit for a while. Ive played on a bunch of the sites for little money but those are the 2 I use the big money on. Recently, you can find me once or twice a week on Party Poker as EstrangedGNR. I just play the multi-table sit and goes, any type of game.. Usually just for 20-50 bucks tops.

I heard so many people cheat on those sites it's ridiculous.

I play every so often with mates and we'll all put a fiver in.  I don't play online cause I know i'll just get addicted or something.  It's a lot of fun with mates - I love bluffing my way through games. :hihi:

I could never pay attention enough to get the hang of it. Maybe one of these days.................

Maybe all of us who will be in Vegas, who don't play, should get together for a few hands ;D

Guys like us have better luck at Green Valley (the locals casino.) It is the ONLY time I have ever won money in LV. Won a few hundred in abou 20 minutes, then left right away. The little lady next to me won 1000 bucks on nickle slots......... :hihi:

I have a feeling we won't be gaming in our hotel however..........

Well you heard wrong then. Pokerstars is completly safe and its the best poker site on the internet

I remember someone getting caught cheating on Pokerstars. Its rare, and they have good protection, buts its going to happen.

Also, sometimes people sit in the same room and play the same tournament and seeing both there hands gives them an advantage, and then when it gets to a crucial point, one guy dumps chips to the other. They play on the same bankroll and make alot of money. They just make new screen names every week or so to keep hidden. Again, its always gonna happen, but its rare and shouldnt be a reason to not play online poker.

I play... Mostly with my friends but sometimes when I'm bored I play some freeroll tournaments of no limit hold'em. A good way to pass time, but at my current financial situation, I'd most propably be fucked if I tried to make actual money out of it.

i play a bit too, not online though, it's dumb everybody calls everything just because it's free.

once a month or so i get together with freinds, I've played at a casino once too, came out $125 ahead :beer:

Hey, theres 2 people that play on PokerStars here so far. Maybe if we can get like 6-7 more, I can set up one of those private tourneys. I dont know how much the minimum buy in is for those though, but that would be pretty cool :P

I can't play the money games at all.  I tried to put in $50 a couple years ago, and it said my credit card had a restriction on it regarding internet gambling.  So, only play money tables for me, unfortunately.  It blows.

I did get a $5 loan on there from a friend about a year ago.  I played the penny tables with it, got up to $10, and paid him back.  Lost the $5 profit over the next week.

If you set up a neteller account you can deposit money directly from your bank account (or check I believe) into your neteller account and then "buy chips" from poker stars.  Works a lot like PayPal if i'm not mistaken (never used paypal).

I had a game last night. 9 people with a ?10 buy in each.

What I did was play nothing, no hands until I went under what I started with chipwise. Then I played a good hand to get back to the 4 rows.

I'm a pretty shit player but I got 3rd and ?20 out of it  :D

I used to play a lot online.  Only ever played online for money for a period of about 2 weeks.  Once the $50 was gone, that was it.  I don't see how I built up to $8 million play money, but lose when playing with REAL money.  When I play, I use Empire Poker which is part of Party Poker, I guess.   :-\  I don't play much anymore.  Guess I burned out on it.

I played on Poker Stars for a while until I updated the program and my virus protection found spyware in it.  So, no more of that one. 

It's fun...or it used to be.  The last few times I've played online, the tables were just too big.  I don't like to sit at a table with more than 5 people.  Plus, like someone else said...play money...everybody calls everything and bets on everything.

yeah, empire poker is the exact same format as party poker but run on a different server, so there are different people. Last time I checked it was alot smaller than party poker.. i dont why that exists. There are some formats where Ive seen like 10 different sites on the same server, its pretty weird. I used to play this 10,000 person free weekly tournament run together with like 10 sites, that was always fun for a rainy day :P

I quit playing no-limit hold 'em online for the most part just because of the douchebags that call everything and play with rags.  Usually there are fewer of those types in the other games (especially HORSE-- you need to know your shit to play that successfully).

HORSE is a fantastic game. I like Omaha Hi/Lo Limit the best.
