Don't know if anyone have already read this, but according to wikipedia (yeah, not the most reliable source), Robin Finck will make a cameo appearance in the third season of LOST.

Ok, while I'd love that to happen, how come we find out about that from a letter to KERRANG (of all the magazines and sites and radio stations and every other form of media he'd send fuckin KERRANG a message?)????

You got a good point there. As I said, Wikipedia isn't excactly what one might call reliable, but I posted this as it could turn out to be true.

Kerrang is an odd choice, but maybe they were just the first ones to ask.

I havent saw any of the first 2 seasons of lost so I will be "lost" if I started watching the 3rd season. I will Tivo the season just in cast Mr. Finck makes a cameo.

Congrats to Robin for getting a cameo appearance in the best fuckin' TV show to come on the air since Dallas! (and although some might say this is blasphemous... I don't care, Lost is better than Dallas!! But Dallas has a better theme tune! ;D )

I've never even seen an episode of Dallas.  Although I'll forever have the theme music for it burned in my brain.

I don't believe this for one second. Sounds like crap and a really weird combination. And I don't see Robin like someone who wants to become a celebrity. A nice show though, Lost, but I don't see Robin being part of it. Prison Break would be much cooler for him to be in. Like a psycho inmate or something.

it seems to me the kind of thing he'd be up for. he seems to like to experience new things.

The first 6 episodes of Lost start the first Wednesday of October.  Then there will be a hiatus until January.  This is the best show on TV with the exception of the Shield.  Will Finck be on it, I highly doubt it.  I'd expect they'd cast actors and not musicians unless the person was well know and no one outside this small world of GNR fanatics knows who Finck is.  I could see them casting Axl, but not Finck.

Don't be stupid. Firstly, how would Axl fit into that programme, why would they want to cast him and why would he want to be in it?

Finck I could see being in it, but again, I don't see why he would want to be in or, or why they would cast him.

Oh, it's over-hyped, but it's no piece of shit. That's the problem when a show, that is far from perfect, gets big; the fanboys make it out as the best show on television while those who haven't really seen it or don't get it condemn it as a piece of shit.

I'd be well up for a bit o' Finck in season number 3. Maybe it will be around the same time as my cameo.

Lost is a trend no one will remember it in 5 years.

It's not that I don't get it or haven't seen it (my girlfriend loved the first series/season before she got bored) so I've seen all that series, I just think it's a dragged out, badly executed piece of shit. 

If it was a film or a 6-part series then fine, but there's no need for it to be on this long.

If Finck is on the show at all, it will likely be as a character in one of the flashbacks.... they wouldn't make him one of the Others (unless he's killed off early) because that would be a recurring role and they wouldn't want to risk scheduling conflicts.

Also, Axl would fit into the show. I could definitely see him playing a character that was friends with Sawyer.

Dude, the amount of clever clues thrown into every episode of lost show the amount of thought and intelligence that went into writing that show.

If you can be bothered to concentrate and actually take time to think about what these things all mean, piece together the ?puzzle, you get a lot of thought provoking discussion involving ancient theology/mortality/philosphy/etc from this show.

The amount of things going on within that show could never be fit into 6 episodes, that's the beauty of it. It takes you deeper into the plot with every episode.

You don't like it? Fine, but it's not a "badly executed piece of shit"

1) If he's doing a cameo, he's not in the first 6 episode arc. 

2) I could see him playing either an "Other" or possibly having something to do with a Charlie flashback, while Charlie was fronting Driveshaft.

3) The show rocks.  Anyone else following "The Lost Experience"?  LOTS of background info being given out so far, wth a promise (via ABC press release) to reveal exactly what "the numbers" mean.   Two words: Valenzetti equation.  Two more words: Alvar Hanso.  'Nuff said. :)

... No. It's like, a brief appearance. A small part. Usually like a walk on, but it could be for an episode or recurring. Outside of the core cast, pretty much. It is usually used with reference to somebody famous, but the definition doesn't mean that it has to be.

No spoilers, I promise.  Though you guys are "caught up" now, right?  Just finished Season 2?  We don't start Season 3 til the first week of October.

You could jump right into "The Lost Experience" (and on-line Alternate REality Game run by the show's producers and ABC) and not get anything considered "spoilery" because, as the producers have said, much of what they are covering in the game won't ever be directly addressed on the show.  A good place to start is stophanso.rachelblake.com and www.insidetheexperience.com.

The "He's not in the first 6 eps" thing is because a) the cast lists for those episodes are out there and the cameo's and guest shots are all mentioned (I hadn't thought of the role being uncredited) and b) they were/are being filmed while he was/is on tour. 

I suppose they COULD sneak him in in ep 5 or 6, around the early US tour dates (he is going to be on the west coast, so...a jaunt to Hawaii wouldn't be completely out of the question, I guess...or he could film in LA if he's in a flashback).
