I am glad these shows have more reasonable prices than vegas so I can hopefully got to both shows.

Who is handling the sales of these tickets?  Is it ticketmaster or livenation?  Can you buy online?  I called livenation and they had no idea.

live nation is the promoter, ticketmaster is who you buy the tickets from. Yes you can buy them online.

For the last US tour they had a pre sell for GNRONLINE members.  It meant we were able to buy tickets before the general public.  That won't happen for these shows.

I was a little overzealous about getting tickets. I bought floor tickets and balcony tickets.  Which ones should I keep?  How crazy does it get on the floor?  I'm getting older ... I'm not sure I can rock out with the kids on the floor anymore.
I guess I'm showing my age ....

My wife and I have floor tickets for this show. ?I can't wait to see them again and in a small venue(The joint, Hammerstein). ?It should be amazing.

I've been at the warfield and the floor has been pretty crazy up near the front, but that was at a heavy metal show. The floor at the warfield has two different levels, so you don't necessarily have to be right in the middle of everything to be able to see.

The Warfield is great.  I saw Velvet Revolver there and there was a lot of energy on the floor.

How close is the  balcony to the stage?  I might just keep those and avoid the rush to the stage.  Either way it will be great to see GNR live again.  I've tried twice Greenville (cancelled) and London (after 9/11 - cancelled).  I hope I'm not  a jinx.

I scored floor tickets, I'll be there!

I'll be taking a cab to the show from the hotel or wherever I'm at.  How likely am I to find a cab to take me home after the show?  I don't know the area but I've heard it's not the best part of town.

If your hotel is in the Union Square area (which a lot of them are) you can pretty much walk there.  The area's kind of shady but chances are there'll be a bunch of people from the show walking around.

Expedia and traelocity list the area as "South of market", and all the hotels I'm brining up are a half mile or less away. This safe to walk? or are there cabs around>?

I'm staying at Union Square.  Hopefully that's not too far. 

The Warfield is more in the area called the Tenderloin. Its considered one of the worst areas of san francisco, but thats not saying too much. In short, you should be fine. Its the downtown area, so theres going to be good and bad. Chances are the worst that will happen is being approached by some homeless person asking for money or something.

Now I live in the opposite end of the city, so unless I find someone here to go with me, I will be riding the bus home all alone :o

I'm not sure about cabs, I haven't really looked around at night(and i just moved here two nights ago), but if I'm in the area in the coming weeks I'll definately keep an eye out for everyone.

I just got Back from the WARFIELD theatre...They are currently setting upin the back and Below the GUNS N ROSES name(above), they add Sebastion Bach...Friggin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ;D
