Title: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: phreakofnature on August 15, 2006, 02:41:13 AM Hi everyone,
First, if this shouldn't be in this section or shouldn't be its own thread I do apologize.? I just want to let everyone know that I live in Las Vegas and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me.? For those of you on a budget, I would recommend staying at the Comfort Inn. It is directly across the street from the Hard Rock. Sept 15th - $109.00 Sept 16th - $109.00 Sept 17th - $89.00 You may find cheaper rooms but they probably won't be as close.? If you stay at the Comfort Inn you will not have to take a cab anywhere.? Also, I work for MGM MIRAGE which owns most of the large hotels on the strip like the Bellagio, Mirage, TI, Mandalay Bay etc.. If you want, I can look into a group rate but that would have to be organized by one of the moderators of this site.? Lastly, i have a friend that works at the Frontier. He can get really good rates too, again if someone wants to but together an organized group with confirmed bookings I would be more than willing to help. Link to Comfort Inn http://www.choicehotels.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfo?hotel=NV048&sid= Let me know. -Ryan Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: Buddha_Master on August 15, 2006, 02:48:54 AM Thanks man. Is this joint decent? Even I have my standards. I dont want some motel 6 or roach motel. The embasy I think is about the same price. How is the place man? I think I will stay 2 nights. The 15th and 16th. Double occupency. One bed...yea thats right...I said it.
Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: EFISH on August 15, 2006, 02:52:18 AM Here, I'll just repost what I posted in the other thread:
I've looked into it, and the best choice hotel IMO is Palace Station Hotel And Casino. Its 4.6 miles from Hard Rock, and its a decent hotel... and its very cheap... I'm flying up saturday morning very early and leaving monday afternoon..... for saturday and sunday at the hotel, costs 170 bucks. (120 for sat, 50 for sunday). Thats insanely cheap. The website is www.palacestation.com Cant fucking wait for this! (http://images.sportsnetwork.com/sportsbook/casinos/palace.jpg) Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: EFISH on August 15, 2006, 02:54:25 AM Hmm.. right across from the hard rock? That sounds pretty good.. And the prices are just about the same as the one I just posted about. I might go to the Comfort Inn instead. Thanks alot phreakofnature!
Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: phreakofnature on August 15, 2006, 02:55:03 AM Comfort Inn is average. It's pretty clean. ?Howard Stern made some of his staff stay there last time they were in Vegas and they didn't seem to complain too much. ?Embassy wouldn't be too bad either. ?It's just down the street as well. ?Only advantage Comfort Inn has over it is that you can walk to Hard rock in about 3 seconds and the best German Beer house in the world is right across the street as well. ?
If anyone wants to meet up for some pre-parties I would say Rainbow Room or Hofbrauhaus. ?Hofbrauhaus is huge, would be a perfect meet up place. ?Fantastic beer too! http://www.hofbrauhauslasvegas.com/ Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: phreakofnature on August 15, 2006, 02:57:36 AM Hmm.. right across from the hard rock? Thanks alot phreakofnature!? No problem, Palace Station is not as close as it sounds. 4.6 miles is a long way in this town haha. It is definitely a cab ride and it's in a pretty ghetto part of town. Comfort inn isn't in a bad spot, there is quite a few things to do around it, and Hard Rock is 3 seconds away. Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: EFISH on August 15, 2006, 02:59:54 AM This is SORT of off topic, but I live in Miami and am looking for a flight to Vegas... and am wondering... would a Saturday morning 6AM flight be cutting it too close? I just don't want to pay for that extra night (120 more bucks) so maybe I'll get a middle of the night flight and arrive in the morning and check in? What do you guys think?
Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: Bandita on August 15, 2006, 03:00:30 AM thank you for this thread it is really helpful and I need all the info I can get on this!

I just don't want to pay for that extra night (120 more bucks) so maybe I'll get a middle of the night flight and arrive in the morning and check in? What do you guys think? what time would you get to Vegas? The Airport is 5 minutes from the Strip and about 10-15 minutes to the Hard Rock. Guns probably won't go on until like 11p or so, so you should be fine if you get in before 6pm or 7pm. Hell you could probably get in at 10p and be ok lol. Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas Post by: EFISH on August 15, 2006, 03:09:51 AM Well it says Duration: 7 Hours 21 minutes. And theres one place where we have to change planes. I didn't think it takes that long but i trust Expedia... Also, the time difference is confusing... 11pm there is actually 2am here.... so i guess that means i'll be ok... Looks like I'll be taking that flight.....
It's 350 bucks for a roundtrip ticket, so that's pretty damn good.. Count me in for two at the Rainbow. This was mentioned maybe by someone else, so lets coordinate something so fans from here can hook up. I am in for 2. Thanks man. The Vegas airport is basically ontop of the damn strip anyway so you can get there at 10pm and youd probably get there before Axl. Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: EFISH on August 15, 2006, 03:32:46 AM There are a few, but none that fit my timeframe. I tried the Ft. Lauderdale airport also because its smaller, and cheaper flights.. But again, none that really fit my timeframe :(

Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: phreakofnature on August 15, 2006, 04:44:10 PM Ok everyone, I was in the same area as Hard Rock today so I took my camera and took a few pics from the top of the Hard Rock parking garage.? The Embassy Suites is A LOT closer then I thought.? I was thinking of a different one a mile down the street. So, Embassy is probably nicer then the CI.? I will upload the pics here for you guys to check out:

Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Buddha_Master on August 15, 2006, 05:01:10 PM Yea, those pics help put things in perspective. ITs strange working out the hotels beofre we know if we actually of tickets. But we have to. Thanks for taking the time freaky.
This site has a map of the hotels. We can see what hotels are near the Hard Rock. http://las-vegas-hotels.lasvegashotels-online.com/las-vegas-hotels-strip-map.html?gclid=CMjI88XK4oYCFR12GgodWRE9Bw I am still deciding on where to go. Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Chief on August 15, 2006, 05:40:41 PM Amerisuites is a great hotel, ive stayed there many times and the rooms have fridges and couches and microwaves and they are big enough to have mini gatherings.
PRE PARTY needs to be in the Hofbrau House!!! they have giant beers and its a huge hall so big groups are no problem!!! Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Buddha_Master on August 15, 2006, 05:41:19 PM Hey, Terribles Hotel Casino is kind of right there to (looks right next to Comfort Inn. The reviews were decent on trip advisor. Rooms are 109 for Friday and even less for Saturday.
Freaky, what do you think about Terribles? I might be basing this all on you bro. Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: phreakofnature on August 15, 2006, 05:48:26 PM Terribles is a local chain here. They have quite a few hotels. They are nice. Nothing fancy. They should hace a casino in the hotel if you are into gambling. CI, Embassy and those types of hotels won't have a casino.
Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Buddha_Master on August 16, 2006, 02:22:54 AM Alright. I made reservations at the Terribles. Hope I can get the 2 tickets for the 16th. I will check in on the 15th and check out the 17th. Oh man... I hope I get the tickets!

One of the best strategies if you're looking to save money is, as phreakofnature has already said to just stay at a normal hotel like the Comfort Inn or Best Western at least on Friday and Saturday nights. You can stay right where all the action is and pay a lot less. If you want to gamble you can literally walk 30 seconds and be at a casino Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: smishkey on August 18, 2006, 05:44:46 PM After much scouring of the web,I booked my trip through Orbitz, I got 3 nights at MGM Grand plus airfare from West Palm Beach, FL? $496 per person.? (and me personally, I drink Bud Bottles, so the german beer doesnt appeal to me, lol) Well hey man, you and I both live in Vegas, so Next friday if your not doin anything, I'll meet you up there for a few, I'm always open to a good bar Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Buddha_Master on August 20, 2006, 02:00:25 AM Hey. I personally would really dig the hell out of meeting up with forum members here I have been shooting the shit with down in Vegas. I will at some point be down at that German beer place, because well, its beer, and it sounds damn good.
But...the Rainbow does seem more appropriate. It would be cool if we can all work something out. Im not sure how we would know who is who from here, from anyone else. But fuck...lets work something out. Pre-party would really make the evening that much cooler. Sharing the experience with fans and friends from here would be real cool and meeting up before the big show sounds fun. I'm in. Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: phreakofnature on August 20, 2006, 01:04:23 PM OK, heres a poll for the pre party place then. Hofbrau House ?(couldn't find any type of official website) http://www.rateitall.com/i-239972-hofbrau-house--las-vegas.aspx The Rainbow Bar and Grill www.rainbowbarandgrilllv.com ? I just think the Rainbow is a lot more fitting considering the event. Sure, it's not the original Rainbow, but neither is the band, lol. www.hofbrauhauslasvegas.com I would be down for going to both places.? Drinks at hofbrau and then head over to Rainbow.? I'm heading out of Newark on Friday morn, and flying back Monday morn. We'll be staying in the New York, New York (got friends that work there that got us a GREAT deal). It's a big farther away from the Hard Rock than the other hotels, but I think it'll be fine. Hope to see some of you guys around town while I'm there! Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Chief on August 20, 2006, 11:18:05 PM So i think we should have the pre party in two places.. starting maybe about 4 at the Hofbrau and then an hour or whatever later we can go to the Rainbow real quick to get some food and then go to wait in line if anyone wants to.
what do you guys think? usually the line doesn't matter too much because you can get close to the front pretty easily, last time i didn't wait too long as i recall.... p.s. credit cards rule if you are careful!! Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Buddha_Master on August 21, 2006, 03:32:49 AM Well shit, this sounds like the best of both worlds. Like the time table too. So it's possible to do so. ;) /jarmo Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: Outtagetme on August 21, 2006, 11:23:17 AM hey guys, I'm heading out of Newark on Friday morn, and flying back Monday morn. I am only 23, however, my first concert ever was Gn'R in 1993. I was 9, and I started listening to them when i was like 6. So although at the time I didn't know what the hell Mr. Brownstone was about or anything like that, I thought it sounded awesome, and Gn'R is all I ever listened too. Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: cotis on September 15, 2006, 05:48:33 PM I'm setup here in the New York, New York and it's amazing. I have an amazing fucking view of the Airport and mountains, along with half of the strip. Only downer is that they charge $11 USD a day for broadband internet :(. Right now I'm using a Verizon Wireless Broadband Card thing I stole from my moms work, but it's total shit.
But, I hope everyone ends up with good hotels! Title: Re: Hotel rooms in Las Vegas - and general info Post by: DEAD HORSE on September 15, 2006, 09:13:30 PM Im driving from California, its gonna be awesome!!! rock n roll
