Title: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: SlashxDelonge1458 on August 14, 2006, 06:34:00 PM I was at the May 15th show at Hamerstein and yes, he was there. He came out for "My Michelle" and Axl and him kind of did a little duet thing, and they shared the parts. Axl was simply amazing, breathaking, his singing that night completely blew me away, he was great, yea. And then Bach sings and man he was HORRIBLE! He pretty much ruined the song. When Axl was singing, he was so fluent and demuir, but when it was Bach's turn to sing, all you heard was, well i dont know much more ways to put it, but just terrible singing. What did you guys think? Did you think he filled the roll of My Michelle well, or did he just completely ruin the song?

But I also think he wasn't really good at that song... Axl sounded smooth, and cool, then baz came in... RAWR RAWR RAWR... It hurts my ears. I like BAZ but on the bootleg I have he sounds awful on that song Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: busngabb on August 14, 2006, 06:37:42 PM Leave him alone, he must be on a delay or something.
Anyway, Sebastian Bach is a great front man and he adds a lot to the GNR live shows. The crowd lifts when he comes out for My Michelle, he really gets them into it. Plus, he is a great man and friend to Axl. What he did at Wembley shouldn't be forgotten. Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: SlashxDelonge1458 on August 14, 2006, 06:38:58 PM Sorry, I didn't know this has already been discussed.
but yea I know completely what you mean. axl was great, and then as you said bach came on and all you heard was him screaming, even at screaming it sucked! Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: AdZ on August 14, 2006, 06:39:14 PM I wasn't that excited about it before I saw him at the first show, but by the end of the tour he'd secured me as a fan.
Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: Kov on August 14, 2006, 06:39:31 PM Yeah, the wembley substitution was a gesture that we should never forget... And i liked his voice there. ?: ok:
But in NYC... ?:-X And sorry for being an asshole :-) Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: SlashxDelonge1458 on August 14, 2006, 06:42:07 PM You weren't being an ass, it was my fault, I'm a little behind on the news, threads, etc. Yea, you're right though, you can't forget about that substitution...when Axl collapsed and Bach came in...it was just a sense of relief.
Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: Bandita on August 14, 2006, 06:43:17 PM I think in NY it was a spur of the moment thing since Axl had reached out to Baz for help with his voice a few days prior so you can't really expect it to sound amazing but as said above look what Baz did for him at Wembley when otherwise there wouldn't have even been an end for that show. ?He's been a good friend and supporter for this band.

We have rules that clearly state you shouldn't post stuff like "I agree", "LOL" or " :hihi: ". I think a post with just a question mark falls under the same category. Not you AdZ. :P /jarmo Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: SlashxDelonge1458 on August 14, 2006, 07:05:33 PM sorry, a boner on my part.
Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: TrueRock&Roll on August 14, 2006, 07:38:31 PM I think Sebastian brought a special vibe to the shows. Just added some nastalgia (don't know if that's spelled right) I guess. It's great to see two guys like that on stage at the same time. Of course his voice didn't sound as good as Axl's, but it's not Sebastians song either. Overall, a great thing.

Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: HoldenCaulfield on August 14, 2006, 07:57:59 PM I thought it was really cool him joing the band for a song. I've always been a fan of his, he's always been really underrated as a singer and frontman. He brought some different energy to the shows...

Im seeing him in Sydney, Australia on the 14th? ;D http://www.sebastianbach.com/updates.html Yep, look at that, I guess GNR are going sans Sebastian now....fun while it lasted! Have fun at the show! : ok: Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: Mattattack on August 14, 2006, 09:46:39 PM I hope Sebastion is through performing on stage with Axl. Sebastion is wasting his talent performing with Axl, when he could be starring in Spinal Tap 2 with his band, Savage Animal!!
Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: Bandita on August 15, 2006, 12:14:18 AM I hope Sebastion is through performing on stage with Axl. Sebastion is wasting his talent performing with Axl, when he could be starring in Spinal Tap 2 with his band, Savage Animal!! You have to repeat "SAVAGE ANIMAL" 50 times for this to have true effect!! :hihi: :hihi: I am glad for Baz though, I still kinda like him although he can be highly annoying-he is still a great frontman, just not so great at making decisions ;D Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: Mattattack on August 15, 2006, 12:30:28 AM I'm sure Baz would be a riot to hang out and party with, but I can't stand his voice on My Michelle. I'm sure Axl likes have him around for entertainment purposes. I bet you Axl talks Baz into doing stupid shit, for his own personal amusement.

Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: Where is Hassan Nasrallah ? on August 15, 2006, 12:05:58 PM bazz steals the show each time.
kick ass energy kick ass voice kick ass attitude. kick ass. kick. ass. Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: GNR estranged on August 15, 2006, 12:28:33 PM im not a fan of baz but i think it was cool that he showed up. I thought he sounded good at the hammerstein shows when i was there live (especially at the end when he and axl are going back and forth singing my michelle.) he had a lot of energy and was really into the song. He and axl played off each other well on stage. i did think he sounded like shit on the soundboard recording of rock am ring though.
Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: Mobenrad on August 15, 2006, 12:41:56 PM Baz blows. On GNR anyway....ruins the song. He's a good singer otherwise, but get the hell of stage when you're at a GNR show dude.
Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: novemberparadise23 on August 15, 2006, 03:53:38 PM i agree baz is no axl but without baz axl never would have went on the trunck radio show
Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: mcagunner on August 15, 2006, 11:13:48 PM I think the whole essence of the performance was really the point of it, and I think it was awesome. I saw him 5/12 in NYC and hope to see more of him in Cali.
Its not often you get to see two great frontmen from that era rocking the stage at one time - therfore, keep it comin' Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: SlashxDelonge1458 on August 16, 2006, 02:07:36 PM im not a fan of baz but i think it was cool that he showed up. Title: Re: Sebastian Bach at NYC Shows Post by: SonofAGun on August 16, 2006, 05:02:16 PM I was there May 12 and I dont really remember how good Bach was in particular, just that it was exciting to see him on stage with Axl. Coincidentally, I was in line with Sebastian for the mezzanine seating that night- not that I was a fanboy and gushed to speak to him or anything.
