i was watching tv the other day and i started to watch this movie called 21 grams. at  first i started  to like it. but then half way threw naiomi watts and sean penn start fucking each other up.it was kind of disturbing,because the way they were having sex was really weird. anyways the movie was still good. i was wondering have any of you seen a movie that has a good story line and it has random sex in the middle of the movie? whats the movies name?

I like to think I am very open-minded and an also a devout fan of foreign and independent films. With that said I feel Japon is one of the worst film I've ever seen. I saw the entire movie erroneously hoping it would get improve or make some kind of point. I do not wish to spoil any of the plot incase there are some who still wish to see it so I can’t get in to further specifics as to my thoughts about Japon. I understand director Reygadas has a new movie in post-production I hope it is a vast improvement from this one as I hope for the Mexican cinema, actors and directors can continue their return to better years and quality.

Maybe the problem is that I can't appreciate art properly, or maybe the movie is too bad. I just rented it at Blockbuster and saw it with my mom. Such an uncomfortable experience.

I found a lot of things in this film to be utterly unnecessary. A true characterization of wannabe "artsy."

I can’t help but think the sex scene was unnecessary. It’s not that I have a problem with seeing old naked women, or the idea of old women having sex. If I could understand why the scene was necessary, I wouldn’t have any problem with it. While watching it I could help thinking that the scene was made, maybe even unconsciously, for it’s shock value, and there was a better way to express the love of the man for the woman.

A History of Violence (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399146/) had a bit of a weird sex scene in it. Viggo Mortensen and Maria Bello did it on the stairs, and it looked extremely painful. I found it a bit weird, tbh. It was meant to look so rough, the next scene with Maria had her with bruises all over her back
