3 major florida radio stations and 2 new york radio stations  are saying album will be delayed again from november to early next year.they are blaming the recent euro tour for the delay.

How the hell could a tour (that GnR themselves organised) be responceable for a delay.

98 rock out of tampa just reported that u.s tour is also delayed.and if you think of it. if the  tour started late sept early oct tickets would be on sale already.

Why are you so damn suprised??? Axl is Axl! Leave him he will bring the CD when he wants to!

How about a Fla radio station know when the album is coming out even before axl announces it?
Btw the first date on the USA tour I assume would be the cali date in late sept. So tix can go on sale end of aug for that date and still have a month for sales. They could sell out all the dates in a matter of days if they choose them wisely.

where are they getting their info?   No statement has been released saying anything like that, and the radio isn't going to know about this before it goes on the presswire.

Why simply a random blurb?  Sounds reminiscent of those "Official" announcements of Outkast's break-up that were being spread throughout various websites and radio stations the other day which then caused them to phone MTV and refute the "news."  Let's see if Inland Invasion gets canned before we wildly speculate.

as Christos said - nothing was announced, so how can there be a delay!  we've just had an amazingly successful and comparatively long tour - this has been a great year and will continue to be for Guns one way or another.

Axl himself said the album would definitely be out this year, in the fall sometime.

Axl Rose promised "Eddie Trunk" on the "Eddie Trunk Show" the new gnr cd "Chinese Democracy" would come out this year in the fall 2006 "absolutely" and now that's a lie. Because officially the jury has a verdict and Axl has been found guilty of "lying" because these other radio stations prove "Axl" is a liar ?:rant:

last time I checked, we still have a little over a month of summer, and then all of the fall season which runs pretty much till the end of the year.    So stop talking shit and lets see how things play out.

As long as it comes out at the very, very latest spring 2007, I (and Im sure others) will be happy. I'm sure it'll be with us late nov - mid dec.

All this is probably just due to the terrorist thing happening in the UK atm... obviously it doesn't mean the US tour WILL be delayed, but there is a slight possibility if Axl can't fly back to the US...

Axl is an American citizen. All he has to do is throw his cell and all other electronic devices in his checkin bags and not carry anything else on board besides his passport and his documents and he will fly safely back to the US.

So where'd these radio stations get their info? Any source for this rumor? Sounds to me like another B.S. rumor. There's already a date in late Sept. so how is the tour delayed? The other dates haven't even been announced yet.

Christos, the discussion is because someone reported multiple stations airing this, it shouldn't be all that shocking that people are going to talk about it on the board.

Who would outdo his solos? I don't see any possible way the current guitarists could do those solos any better than Bucket. (not even Richard Fortus)

His parts sound terrible to me. No need to "re-do" his parts. Just re-write some better stuff instead. Plus he left 2 years+ ago, and his parts already sound outdated. Completely outdated.

Just create something better (and bluesier- with more soul and more feeling in the guitar playing!) instead :peace:

Keep in mind that chump-change radio stations have been pulling Chinese Democracy release dates out their asses for years.? I don't know about the rest of you, but I quickly got in the habit of ignoring anything GN'R related they have to say because it is always bull-shit.

They obviously have no idea when the album is coming out.? They've proven it for years.? Why should we put any faith in them now saying that the album is being delayed?

The media doesn't know anything more about the album than we do.

just spoke to my wifes friend.she is a manager for a fye store in ftlauderdale.she said as of wednesday chinese democracy was for nov 13th.but then as of yesterday was pulled from release schedule.

Is the US tour delayed?  I thought it was to to start at the end of September and to the best of my knowledge no date has been announced yet?  Did Axl delay the US tour?

the only thing we knew of in america was the show on the 23rd in California the tour was rumoured to Start in September not announced

We have nothing..? We have no release date, no US tour date, no delayed announcement. This album could be released in October, or it could be released in June of 07.. They might tour in the late fall, or next summer. Who knows!!

oh yeah.... and your mother works in a record store and CD was scheduled for a november 13th release date....  i call this bullshit dude. there is no set release date right now and never was. until someone, i consider remotely reliable, heard this as well i don`t even believe it was said on the radio.....there are 2 or 3 storys in this thread claiming the release date got postponed and those are all sourced from one guy : ok:

Part of me really belived that CD was coming out in either September or November 2006. Part of me also wonders if there are enough tracks recorded for the album. During the recent tour GnR didn't have more than a few new tracks to play (not including the previously played The Blues and Madagascar). Even then they did not always play them.

I want to hear the studio recordings of the new material complete with Buckethead on them  :beer:

I'll download it first just to make sure i like the album. I'll be pretty pissed off to hear CD only to like what has been leaked so far  + some filler tracks or worse still 'cover songs'. If on the other hand i am pleasantly surprized and blown away by a stack of new tracks that i have not yet heard i'll buy it  ;D
