So is his material straight up instrumental or does he sing as well?  I'm thinking about going as I live close, but I'm not sure if I be interested in hearing a hour and a half long guitar solo.

Like the guy is not on the album and does not know when its coming out.

So like sure ask him oh how was the tour or what not?

But CD questions are sooooooo annoying.

You are right! Why would any GnR fan dream of asking the FREAKING GUITARIST what is going on with the band. No offense to Bumble, but I am sure this gig will be 90% Guns fans. Those fans have the right to ask about CD, upcoming shows and anything else Gn'R related, if they want to. Just as Bumble has the right to give his "I don't know" answers as well.

Are you kidding me!!

Its going to 90% Bumblefoot fans.

What you that no one came to his shows before GNR.

Its a small show, his friends and fans will come to see him.

Was a cool night, I got there late , as I was working till almost midnight, and forgetting this wasnt a GNR show, that people do go on earlier lol I only got to see the last 20 mins of the show. BUT gotta say wholly shit can the dude play , met up with a few peeps, IFINGLOVEVR, he got a  drumstick, and he told me earlier they did SCOM, woulda loved to have seen it personally. Jennaside was there, after the show was over, I hung out and talked to her and a guy who does filminm or has for hammerstein and those acoustic shows and the last wembly shows, cool dude, met rons wife she had a rockng shirt on, nice woman. And Met shakerleg, funny dude, nice guy, the few remaining were gon out to a diner , to eat, I hung out but decided Id be better off getting my ass home , instead . So I said goodbyes and left.

IF you want gossip and such , you wont get that kind of shit from me . BUT as far as GNR hes in there, gonna be doin the shows . And hes a kick ass guy and im fuckng really digging his music. Listening to the album normal now. KICK ASS!

http://www.chinesedemocracy.com/viewtopic.php?p=391763#391763

Thanks for the clips to who ever uploaded them, also if you didn't click the link the guy said:

1. He doesn't know when Chinese Democracy is coming out.
2. He doesn't know the US Tour dates.
3. He doesn't know why Axl won't play "Rhiad" or "Estranged"

And Ron has a pretty good singing voice!

Here's My review,

During the opening bands Ron was inside just walking around hugging evrybody, he remebers almost all his fans by name. When his set started, the curtains opened up and there was Ron Taking a piece of gum, and giving out the rest of his gum to the audience, it was really funny,

All of the songs are amzing, really good stuff, I was really blown away. I strongly suggest all people who are waiting for democracy to get Bumblefoot's CD's, to pass the time.

He played parts of Run to the hills, & Number of the Beast for his friends in the audience from "Maiden NY" an Iron Maiden Trib band

SCOM was incredible, they did there own version of it, with ron pulling off both singing & guitar + duing both really fast, It was a really cool version of the song and Ron ripped the solo to Shredds. and ron was able to sing just as high as Axl.

He announced in the midle of the set (i dont have it word for word but here's the basic message)
"I Dont Know When CD is coming out, I dont know what the plans for the US tour are. I dont know why Axl won't play "Rhiad" or "Estranged. Please be patient and the GNR managment will release a statement with all the information, as it is there responsiblity to inform you, not mine."
He was reading off a piece of paper he made it sound like Axl Wrote it for him, it was really funny.

Ron Kept saying after the show how Axl's the nicest guy in the world, although i also found out from other people there that Axl NEVER travels with his bandmates or even stays at the same hotel. I spoke the the guy who was filming he said there are no plans for filming a music video, also Axl is still in London.

Thats all for now, so basiclly dont count on CD coming out any time soon, get Bumblefoot's music to pass the time

Bumblefoot > Buckethead !!!

Ron has an unbelievably good voice, not many people really appreciate how good it is and how talented he is. He could probably sing the vocals and play lead to every GnR song in the set and it'd sound better than what we get from Axl and Finck.

I wouldnt worry to much about Ron saying he doesnt know about CD or the tour, because bottom line thats probably the truth, but I dont think that doesnt mean its not close to being released.

Oh well, next time.  :)

For all you know the album could be completely finished by now, none of know what is really happening behind the scenes with GnR (although we like to think we do)

Actually I dont think I know anything. The album wasnt finished when he was on Trunk cause he said it wasn't and then they kicked into a tour. So based on that I do not think the album is done.

Heres a video of him doing a bit of "Run to the hills" by Iron Maiden.

He does a cool job on vocals too emulating Bruce Dickinson

The Run to The Hills one is a total killer.
It's not like anyone can go there and sing a song originally sung by Dickinson decently. Ron did rock the hell out of it.

PS.: By the way, yesterday was Mack's first gig, right?

He basically did it as a joke - which is what he's doing here pretty much.

Here's where the MP3 came from, in Ron's own words:

LATEST NEWS FROM BUMBLEFOOT (http://www.bumblefoot.com/) - 19 AUGUST 2003

PROFESSOR BUMBLEFOOT!
In September I'll be teaching a music production course at SUNY Purchase College (http://www.purchase.edu/), NY. More info coming soon...

BUMBLEFOOT CDs NOW AVAILABLE AT TOWERRECORDS.COM (http://music.towerrecords.com/towermusic?n=0&att=Performer+Bumblefoot&cs=Bumblef oot&csn=5&csr=1&csm=38257769&dym=1&act=M26&sid=456 73F424208)

Sometimes when a band I'm recording finishes a cover song, we all take turns laying a lead vocal track - just for fun, one take, fumbling through the lyrics... I've just finished recording Most Precious Blood (http://www.mostpreciousblood.com/) covering Sweet Child O' Mine for a G-n-R tribute CD (to be released by Law Of Inertia Records) I had sent my friend Joboj (http://www.gtrbque.com/) one of those "special" versions of the song, with myself on vocals. Last night, Joboj was a guest host on NoneRadio.com (http://www.noneradio.com/) and opened the show with it... MP3 available HERE (http://www.bumblefoot.com/artist/multimedia/MostPreciousBlood-SweetChildOMine-withBfoOt.mp3)...

So it's not a soundboard recording - it's a studio outtake.

ron's SCOM solo is way better than the way finck plays it.
i like bumblefoots beard to, it's a little figure of a man with legs and all funny!

Ron has an unbelievably good voice, not many people really appreciate how good it is and how talented he is. He could probably sing the vocals and play lead to every GnR song in the set and it'd sound better than what we get from Axl and Finck.

..now if BF could play the drums  :hihi:

Haha - actually he does, but reckons he "sucks at it" - there was a CD he did for a production company called Carlin which he did all the drums for a few years ago. At the time he said he pulled it off with some editing in the tracks.

Don't take SCOM so seriously, it was played as a joke, and he referred to it as "his own crackhead rendition" therefore, I really don't think it was meant to be note for note, or spot on. For what it was, it was good. It was certainly surprising to hear him play it, and he totally made that solo his bitch.

The videos on YouTube are mine, I do have more of "Real" "Rockstar for a Day" "What I Knew" and a few more of his solo songs. The show was a blast, Ron is a guy who just seems to love performing for people. He was hanging out before the show talking to everyone and supporting the opening acts, 24-7 Spyz and Shakerleg. The videos aren't the greatest quality, but they were filmed with a digital camera with limited video capabilities... It was an afterthought to film video, I brought my cam to get some images.

Here are the best images I have... I was at the bar most of the night, so didn't have the best vantage point, but I do think I got a few good shots.

Sections of them, in a perfect world I could have recorded the whole show, but my cam only records minute long clips at most, so I kept most of the clips 30-50 seconds long

Glad ya'll liked the show :) I certainly had a blast!

To answer one of the questions I saw - it was Mack's 4th show.

Hey, does anyone have downloadable (hi res..?) versions of all these vids? I'd love to save them as souvenirs :)

Cheers!

Hi Dennis,

great to have you here. Hope you'll enjoy some time with lunatic GNR fans.

Btw.

1. Do YOU know when Chinese Democracy is coming out?
2. Do YOU know know the US Tour dates?
3. Do YOU know why Axl won't play "Rhiad" or "Estranged"?

 :hihi: :smoking: :hihi:
