So far i've watched Lost in Translation, Apocalypse Now, some Marx Brothers film, The Italian Job (which sucked), The Fifth Element and Ghost World.

They're doing a Studio Ghibli season this month - i'd recommend Castle of Cagliostro, Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind and Princess Mononoke and Porco Rosso.? Everyone should see those films.? Actually fuck it - watch ALL OF THEM!? Trust me you bastards, Studio Ghibli are fucking heroes.? Here's the listing:

Yep. In a roundabout kind of way, because it's to do with the movies, yet doesn't quite deserve it's own thread, did you know that Roman Polanski is going to be in Rush Hour 3? I just thought it sounded like your worst nightmare and... there are some Polanski films on film four, sometimes... now and again... I assume.

ive already seen quite a few films i want to watch...but seriously...how do you find the time? do you have a second detachable head that can watch movies while you do other stuff?...

so whats so special about Studio Ghibli? ive never heard of them

pretty cool huh? not actually watched anything on it yet, but once i'm back in student digs it'll be an essential part of the telly experience.

so they did masterpieces like

Mononoke-hime
Tonari no Totoro
Hauru no ugoku shiro

and the best Kurenai no buta  (porco rosso)

i was watching something about one his films and the attention to detail is ludicrous. they had something like 8,000 different shades of grey.

You're thinking My Neighbour Totoro.  That film has its moments but is a bit too wierd at times.  I do like the giant cat bus though.
