its all over - now what?

Wait for some news, wait for the album, wait  until the US tour and hope to hear some new material. Is Bumblefoot here to stay? and what about the drummer who replaced Brain/Brian, is he here to stay? or will Brian/Brain return  :peace:

Yes, Bumblefoot will quit and join The Rolling Stones, while Brain will take over drumming for his baby's new band.

Of course Bumblefoot will stay and Brain will come back!

I was under the impression that the new drummer fitted in more than brain/brian. He was always smiling and appeared happier all the time, oh and his drummer was pretty damn good

^To pseudoquote (in lack of a better word) Axl from the Hammersmith gigs: "Where was this guy when we hired Brain?"  :hihi:

And to answer your question, now we'll wait for Inland Invasion. RIR5 was the big send-off for the European tour, the upcoming gig will have equal significance for GNR's plans on North America.

I think it was Seb Bach who said it, and he said it meaning where Brain was when GNR hired Sorum.

How many threads can we start about what is going to happen next? The board is cluttered with the exact same topics. >:(

what i don't get is, years ago Axl showed the album cover to fans during a gig, thus giving the impression the album was in the works and almost ready to launch. It never launched. During this latest tour failed mention a thing about the album (correct me if i'm worng), let alone show the album cover (which has probably changed anyway).

lol.  you forgot one thing.  the occasional people who will post "this isn't GNR without Slash" and then that'll lead to "will there be a reunion" and then we'll go back and forth debating the same shit over and over until our pcs explode

maybe, hopefully, a tour that mentions CD ended without CD coming out so therefore logic could tell us that a tour without CD, means it'll end (Not just the UK Leg) with CD coming out?     ???

what did he say at teh end of VMA's. End of round 1 (or 2) or words to those efftect. So was the end of the UK tour end of round 1.5 or round 2.5 - Maybe CD arrives at the end of round 3  :peace:

I'm no expert on boxing, but i think the full distance is 15 rounds.

What now?

The all too familiar sound of silence until the September show in America, apart from shows being announced.

Then....

A North American tour is completed featuring no further new songs and the tour ends with no news of CD or any singles from it.

12 rounds may take us into 2015 at least...so that seems about right

At the Hammersteing gigs in NYC, Axl told fans something he remembered something Sebastian said while watching GnR rehearse earlier in the week in regards to Brain (and yes, I'm paraphrasing) - "Fuck, man - where was this guy when you hired Matt?"

Whether or not the two are related, I obviously can't say...

How's that possible? Brain was the one on the drums at Hammersmith.  : ok:

Do me a favor; DON'T BUY THE RECORD. People like you should not even been able to post. Yes, it has to be right. What is wrong with that? Just because you probably you don't care having things right it does not mean that everyone should do the same. He is not making a record for people like you. Don't spend your money on it.

Hey, we've all been frustrated waiting for the album to come out.  That said, now is *not* the time to be pessimistic...CD is  coming soon, I hope!

^To (pseudoquote) Axl from the Hammersmith gigs: "Where was this guy when we hired Brain?"  :hihi:

It's not.

A mere attempt to put a humorous twist in Axl's comment in the light of the recent happenings.

It reflects kind of badly on the band that their fans think Brain might leave because the temp they hired did a good job. It wouldnt be the first time its happened with a band, sure, but until we get something a bit more tangible lets assume Brain is in safe.
