Here Today... Gone To Hell!

First of all I'd like to thank all the many, many people who have taken the time to pm me and also to give me their advice and good wishes with my personal problems.  When I posted it was more to just let it out of my system as I had noone to talk to about what was happening.  I was truly amazed to find such understanding and support from so many people who do not know me and know nothing about me except through this site.  After a lot of thought I have decided to continue with the pregnancy.  I know a lot of people are not going to understand that choice but for me, it was the only one I could make.  I have always supported the right for any woman to choose whether or not to terminate a pregnancy, but for me, I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I had taken that route.  I've now told my mum I'm pregnant and she's real excited about it.  She has also been real supportive about me getting divorced too.  I want to say a sincere thank you to all of those who have offered me such massive support.  You guys totally rock!  Thank you.

Axl4Prez2004 wishes you the best of luck.  As a product of divorce, and having been raised by a mom who got screwed on support...($60/week for 2 boys, ages 5 an 11 until we were 18)...from a dad who earned twice as much as my mom...I recommend you get every penny allowed to you by law.  My mom just didn't want to deal with the hassle, but you know what?  It certainly could have helped her out in the long-run, even if you just set it aside for a college-fund or rainy-day fund.

I understand this man has been very violent.  Has he ever been violent with the kids?  I'd be very cautious allowing him access to your kids.   :peace:

Thanks everybody, your support means a lot.  I'm coming to terms with the fact that I'm pregnant, I didnt think I'd be having any more kids so this is more shock than surprise but it'll be cool I'm sure.  My lawyer has sent him an amended divorce petition stating the pregnancy because obviously there is the child support issue to be worked out.  He's not violent with the kids so I've offered some contact times and I'm waitng to see if these are accepted.  I'm divorcing him, he's not divorcing the kids and I think it is important that a child have a good relationship with their dad if its possible. The only condition I'm making is that it must be at the family contact centre so that I dont have to worry about him coming to the house.  He can pick our boy up from there and drop him off there so I dont have to be around him at all.  My stepson is living with me and he is still pretty angry at his dad and is refusing to see him.  He's 17 and bless him he feels he has to protect me.  We went to London together for the Wembley show and had an amazing time.  He got absolutely hammered but it was okay we just chucked a blanket over him and left him on the floor!  He's still nursing his headache.  Thanks also to Jim (I read through all the comments on the thread) you are a gentleman.  Thanks for all your good wishes.  PTU
