GUNS N' ROSES are in talks to have a song from their long-awaited new album, "Chinese Democracy", included on the soundtrack to "Rocky 6: Rocky Balboa", according to Australia's Undercover News.


"Rocky 6" will be released december 2006 . Geraldine Hughes (marie), is a huge guns n roses fan.


"Chinese Democracy" still has no confirmed release date.

Movie soundtrack rumors are so frequent, they almost become impossible to believe, however if someone involved in the project is a Gn'R fan, then there could be some truth to the matter, not to mention the December release for this movie.. :-\

If its a good movie maybe....but Slyvester Stallone now stars in movies that go straight to video.  Making Rocky 6 is a desparation move although one I hope succeeds cuz I like the previous 5  : ok:.  But Axl's respect level in the US is much higher and he would stand to lose more than he would gain by doing this soundtrack.  BTW this rumor is stinky.

Have you guys and gals seen the trailer for this movie?  It's actually very interesting.  I'm betting this will put Rocky V to shame...it better.  1-4 were great entertainment.  I personally enjoyed 3 the most.  I loved the storyline.  Sly looks to be in great shape for it...

...but, if I was in the music business, I'd talk to GNR's people just to hear the different tracks on the album!  This movie's coming out in December?  I hope we have a single and an album before the movie, but I could see a 2nd or 3rd song released with Rocky...cool shit!   8)

Actually, this isn't necessarily a good thing.  The new Rocky flick isn't coming out till Christmas.  Why put a song from an album that is supposed to be released in the fall on a movie that debuts a couple months later.

POINT - Is this a way of saying that CD won't be coming out in the fall now?

PS:  Rocky V was a damn good movie.  Anyone who doesn't see that is totally missing the point.  It didn't follow the exact formula of the ones prior and everybody got all pissed off.  Did you really think it was gonna be Rocky / Drago II?

if they put gnr on the sound track it would sell (end of days) but i think it would be be bad for gnr to be associated with a failure of a film

i heard rocky V was originally supposed to have rocky fight tommy in the ring. rocky was supposed to be in the back of the car with adrian after winning the fight. he was going to have his head resting on her shoulder and then tell her he was tired and die with a smile on his face....

anyway, i think it would be cool if we got a song that isnt on Chinese Democracy on a movie soundtrack.

One takes the fight super serious the other lounges around like he's won.. Buster douglas mike tyson ring a bell..? Rags to riches story that as a heavyweight fighter is very possible..

Personally, I cant wait for Rocky. That is shit straight out of my childhood. And some of you are mistakingly calling this Rocky 6. Its actually the fifth movie in the franchise. Just like the Godfather movies stopped after the second part.

Buddah:   No opium pipe, sorry.  Would you deny that when T2 came out, that GNR was completely tied to that movie?  Everyone and their mother knew that the soundtrack had the " New " GNR song on it. The difference was that people were thirsting for another Terminator at the time, so it made a lot of sense. That movie
was like a giant promotion for the Illusion albums.  Only the diehard fans of the Rocky movies give two shits about a sixth installment. No one loved the first 4 more than me, but 5 sucked dog dick. I'll go see 6, but I'm not expecting much better.  As far as the late night stuff, yes.  Axl's comeback in 2002 was mocked by Conan and SNL, and his fight with Hilfiger was all over the late night stuff. So, if he ties himself to Rocky 6, I think it would be a huge mistake. Sorry bro, just the way I feel.

Well, does anyone recall all the BS rumours that Axl was covering "Be Aggressive" by Faith No More for the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film? Whatever became of that one? It seems to me that any film that's rated R and being released at a later time in the year is targeted for these rumours. Guess we'll have to wait and see....!

Rocky Balboa is going to fucking rule.  Stallone is an inspiration and proof that dreams can come true, both in real life and in the movies. 

Rocky soundtracks have always been awesome and very, very successfull. Remember that band called Survivor.

I think I first heard this rumor around June or so. Then the Rocky trailer came out two weeks ago, I watched it just to see if there was any GNR music in the background; none. The other day I was watching CNN Headline News and they were talking a little bit about the movie. They got on to the subject of the soundtrack so I turned it up and paid attention. They only mentioned that it would be "filled with alot of todays biggest music acts" the only one they mentioned by name was Natashia Beddingfeild. They said she is singing the "Theme Song", no mention of GNR at any point for what it's worth.

The script is pretty well written.
I think it will be a success, "Rocky" not boxing in the ring in part 5 was lame, and there were script changes. (ie: he died in one of the scripts.)  Also alot of people like the Rocky movies, but yes there will be the jokes about him being 60 and boxing.  Um, George Foreman was in his 50's when he last boxed.  Oh and the Stallone can't act thing is funny too.  Sure there was Stop or my mom will shoot.  But what about the original Rocky and IMO the best movie he has done Cop Land.  I think a song on the soundtrack would be a great way for Gn'R to get some exposure here in the US.  Do I think it will happen, maybe. Stallone is friends with Arnold and the Governator loves Gn'R and Axl.?

I really think this Rocky movie is going to be great. I saw the trailer and it lookes like it is done well,  along the same lines as the first 4. They should have never made part 5.  It didnt look like the others and the plot was wack.   

What they should do now is remove part 5 from the franchise and act like it never existed.

First 4 were great.  Especially 1 (of course) and 4, IMO.  I never even saw 5 after the reviews were horrible.

I loved 5. I'm always quoting it "Hey you knocked him down. Why don't you try knocking me down?"

No, seriously, fake. There's no way. If GN'R is going to break the silence with a single for a film or just to include a song in a film (minus a single) it would not be for something low-budget like Rocky Balboa.

And yes, it's a low-budget picture, because Rocky V was a flop and Stallone fought to get a distributor for this flick. GN'R would cost top dollar.
