I play D&D but haven't in about 6 months or so....I'm so jonesin for a Fix but my players have been busy, maybe t he fall will see a resurgence

I've also played starwars both old and new, warhammer, battletech and palladium

But D&D is by far the best IMO ;) I just wish i caould play and not be the DM constantly :-\

You got this idea from horsey's thread didn't you...i know i did :hihi:

i thought that's what she was talking about, i kept reading and reading her post and couldnt understand what games she was talking about, the i realized .... :)

i'm sure there must be some online websites where you can play these games with people online, all you need is like an IRC channel ... i'm gonna harvest that ....

we could do it, like a GNR setting :)

ditto  I was like what about the dice and pizza?!

do you actually physically dress up and role play or just sit with pencil and paper and minatures....I have done the actual runaround and pretend thing but that was ages ago...I prefer just having books and pencil and paper and little metal men

how long have you been playing? about 15-16 years for me

i played from like 12 years old to like 18 or so

heavy times around 14/15, lots of warhammer. i had like 5 characters and played 4 times a week.

pencil and paper, no miniatures (i wasnt into the warhammer battles), just the books.

i tried a RealLife once, not big fan. i have a friend who's hardcore with that, dresses up, owns swords and all.

I've played loads of stuff like this in my time. ?Started with Space Crusade and Heroquest (MB/GW) then onto Warhammer and 40k. ?I still remember the first time I saw my friend's miniatures, I was blown away ?;D

I got into Blood Bowl hugely, that game seriously owns, it's a riot sometimes. ?Mordheim was cool as you end up with a really individual warband, which is more fun to me than a huge army. ?Necromunda was a bit excessively complicated and I find it hard to get into. ?LOTR was ok but there was something about it I didn't like, and Warhammer is just cooler!

Roleplay was something I never got into properly, mainly because it requires a lot of spare time, which I don't have. ?I own the original print Warhammer roleplay rulebook and it's great, but it's just the time issue.

I've pretty much given up on this stuff (for the time being at least) because it's too expensive and time consuming.

role a d20 to see how long it takes you to write an album :hihi:

yeah it is expensive....once you start buying shit and get into it you "NEED" everything...or maybe it's just me

Yeah you need it all. ?I'm very careful with my models so I need shit loads of boxes and foam ?:hihi:

You're about to go on stage in Philadelphia and the fans remember 2002 only too well. ?Take a cool test on 2D8 and subtract 3.
 :-X

for example,

you take 5 guys
4 will be the players and write down who their character is (he's tall, blonde, and run fast and owns a pez dispenser)
then there is one guy, the DM, who invent a story and tell them about it. he is god.
and they "play/act" in the story
everytime an action has to be decided thru randomness/luck, we use dice to see if you succeed or not

Is there a game board involved?  ???

Is there a game board involved?  ???

sometimes
but they're to different things

there is wargames like boards, with little figurines
like that, it's more war/startegy oriented
(http://www.salute.co.uk/salute2003/post_2003_images/pics/Games%20Workshop%20-%20Warhammer.jpg)

then there is only the books of rules, pen, paper and your mind
like
(http://neutralground.com/img/items/112024250805554100.jpg)
then things happend only thru the voice of the players, their mind, imagination and the dice

then there is Real Life parties when people dress up and fight with swords

Anyone ever played paranoia XP? It's sort of comical, if you let it be. It's set in a not so distant future where people are assigned in classes (distiguished by their color) that represent their security level. The city is run by a paranoid computer, everybody is obligated to be happy, kinda 1984 like, but lighter...

google it up, it's nice 'n light.

Also did some Warhammer Roleplay, D&D and some 'custom' ones based on LOTR gamerules but in a samourai setting.

Do you provide anything of substance here?  Have you ever?

Someone stop her before she hurts her credibility any more than she already has.  Put her out of her misery and just ban her or something.
