what's the deal with the guy talking about Axl using a backing track?  claims he knows people working with the band or something.

To be honest while i was listening to it at the concert i thought i heard a backing track for the first time in a gnr concert., but i wasn't sure.....Yes now as other people mention it i think he really sang with a backing track.... :(

Nope, no backing track. That's delay caused by Axl's mic's reverb, and it's probably bouncing off of the back wall.

that is no backing track just delay in the audio of the sound system, or from the recording. The quality isnt awesome some it could easily be the recording. Axl and the guys however sound amazing on the track! WOW this song rocks, I wasnt much of a fan of the leak but seeing a live video of it blows me away.

Great video, I love I.R.S, cant wait to hear the finished studio version!

That solo is awesome.

I hate that song IRS, i really don't like it. The leak heard on the interent was average, but seeing it live even makes it worse.
I find the other new songs BETTER. ;-)

IRS is not the better of the music, the entire start is blah . I know all of you love it, but it's really boring.. I think the demo is better, the final solo is better from the leak

Well, its cool that it was so discussed. To chip my 2 cents into the new songs live debate, I think all the studio leaks sounded awesome but the Better and IRS suffer when played live. There Was A Time sounds awesome live though.

That opinion is just from the boots though - until I see them live thats all Ive got to go off :(

I like Axl's voice on this version. It's the best i've heard him sing it live so far. I just wish that Bumble could play Buckets solo properly at the end. That souless guitar geek shit he does fucking sucks ass.

You don't know that he isn't, he very well could be. I'm not saying he deffiantly is or is not but you have no way of knowing if he is.

i saw IRS and better live. IRS one time and better two times.  IRS was the best song from the concert and better one of the best.....

YES i saw them live already. In '93 , in 2002 and this year in 2006 at graspop. IRS sucked big time. Just a stupid song IMO. If these are the kind of songs which are presumed to be the 'better' songs of Chinese Demcoracy, then the album will be a flop!! Nobody than hardcore GN'R fans will dig that shit.
The new songs I like so far:
- madagascar: best new song
- blues: good but the end of that song is awfull
- TWAT: very nice! (starts strange but it grows, and the more you listen to it...? :drool: )
- Better: mixed feelings. Like the internet leak more than the live version

and that's about it. IRS is just a really bad song? :crying:,? Rhiad is ..I don't know..strange? :hihi: , Oh My God sucked! Chinese Democracy: average, nothing special if you ask me.

Well, some of us do have background in this, but there's an easy way to tell.? Just compare the vocals between different live versions of it, if there was a backing track (that was loud enough to be audible), you'd hear the similar vocals on all the live versions - where the words and lyrics start at the exact same point in the song each time (as in, exactly the same).? And that's clearly not the case.....

Axl sounds excellent and sings with so much energy.  I really love the way he is performing this song and better during this tour.  Both songs seem to fit this band well.

The ending of IRS sounds awesome IMO and the last solo by Ron kicks ass :peace:

Even Robin managed to not totally butcher his solos. Axl sounded really good there too, best I've heard out of him so far this tour I think. All these shows are really knocking his voice into shape.

IRS is so fucking awesome that when I hear another fan on here say stupid shit like its boring or sucks or something, I want to literally beat the shit out of that fan. And no its not subjective (hate the douche bags who have to say some pc crap like its only an opinion). IRS is a badass GNR track. That is it. Its another badass GNR track. I do think Better also fucking kicks much ass. TWAT is my personal favorite new GNR track. CITR is some pretty shit.

Oh dude TOTALLY! It was far and away the most refreshing RN'R song in years! Jeezus I couldnt stop playing it. I go to the gym now during my lunch break...and before I go in, I find myself playing it, just for a burst of energy before going in. The song has a genuine sense of energy to it that is rare. Say when the 2nd verse kicks in after Robins little solo (that is fucking cool period)...and that god scream Axl belts out....the catchy fucking chorus...love it. All of it.

                       I really would love to see I.R.S as a video sometime. I really liked that track the most.

As I've been saying, this song will make a "stairway to heaven" of the 21st century.

And yes hate me Buddha_Master  its subjective and just that the above statement will soon be the general opinion.
