Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Mr Rage on July 23, 2006, 11:28:45 AM Towers of london are cool 8) if they didn't copy GNR, write some songs with a least thinking about it and got a singer that can sing! yeah they would be cool! Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Evolution on July 23, 2006, 11:29:37 AM Enjoy their cover of Freebird guys ;)

Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: kingaxl on July 23, 2006, 12:06:45 PM what the fuck dyou know....bullet for my valentine are great!!!!! their last album is fuckin nice!!! what about your band, guys...hows that sound!!! ya right...its easy to criticize talkin shit!!!!
Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Crashdiet on July 23, 2006, 02:40:48 PM I don't know if I'd want to open for GNR, its seems gnr fans are especially hateful towards whoever opens for them.
I mean I don't personally like bullet for my valentine or cocky but they are good bands... just not my thing. And who cares anyway, anyone who goes to a gnr show three hours before the show starts is nuts. Everyone knows axl doesn't take the stage until at least 10pm. usually 11 Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: 1987 on July 23, 2006, 02:50:35 PM how have fans been reaction sebastian bach's band as an opener? the crowd was pretty tough on BFMV in new york..
Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: TrueRock&Roll on July 23, 2006, 02:58:57 PM I want Avenged Sevenfold

Post by: greendog on July 23, 2006, 03:21:25 PM how have fans been reaction sebastian bach's band as an opener?? the crowd was pretty tough on BFMV in new york.. personally, i dont like the band... waaaaaaaaaaay too cheesy. cheesy rock n roll, and it aint good. however, they performed well and were entertaining, so i wasnt a dickhead and complain, i enjoyed what they were doin :) just wasnt my cup of tea... and baz is a crazy mutherfucker :) hes cool to watch. oh, and for your question, they got a good reception :) Bullet... now theres another story  Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Decadence on July 23, 2006, 06:21:43 PM how have fans been reaction sebastian bach's band as an opener?? the crowd was pretty tough on BFMV in new york.. The Newcastle crowd seemed to lap them up, they got a really good reception. I think they shoulda got rid of BFMV and just had Bach, personally! I felt that BFMV were very much like Weezer supporting them back in 2002 - totally dissimilar and not a good mix at all. Towers of London I can see the reasoning behind but god, they are a shit band. I've seen them live and they are just awful to watch. They have all the ego and none of the talent required for even a mediocre rock band. In my opinion, of course! Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: slash666 on July 23, 2006, 10:25:00 PM how have fans been reaction sebastian bach's band as an opener? the crowd was pretty tough on BFMV in new york.. Seb got a great reaction at newcastle cause hes a true frontman and his band were amazing, whereas BFMV were awful the songs sounded the same Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Cowboy Buddha on July 23, 2006, 11:05:33 PM Bullet for Valentine was awful. The one-man hand drummer was mega better than them at Hammerstein. But Sevenfold would be fanfuckintastic to open in the U.S. tour.? I would cream in my pa-ants.

For a bit I thought you were insulting GNR, but I just figured out you were insulting the Opener. I'm so stupid...Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: thejungle on July 24, 2006, 07:48:51 AM haha, thats quite amusing, when I heard Towers of Londonw ere supporting at some gigs i was desperate to see them at the nottingham gig. I don't understand how people can hate them "that" much to be honest. Kinda amusing people view them as a GNR cover band type, everything I heard from the press was 'mix of motley crue and the sex pistols'.
I saw a mini-show they did at a HMV with my girlfriend and a mate, the three of us all loving GNR, we all really really liked them. It was only after about 10-15 mins of a 20-min show when they busted out a guitar solo that my friend and I looked at each other and thought that it was like classic-era slash, other than that I didn't think a huge amount of GNR, the lead singer was way more Jonny Rotten than Axl really. They're a decent band! In the words of Steven Tyler 'You've got to fake it 'til you make it!' :) Does anyone know the times bands are coming on at? And does Bach do any Skid Row? Particularly Youth Gone Wild and 18 and Over? Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: darkmonth on July 24, 2006, 05:50:32 PM I LOVE Bullet for my Valentine ... I actually get as offended when people say they hate Bullet as when I hear people say they hate GnR.

Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: mrlee on July 24, 2006, 07:03:50 PM Towers of london rock.
they play some good "glam punk" and i enjoy it. they have simple but fun songs and the singer makes up for his vocals by his crazy antics on stage. i wish i could have them support at brum. but instead of get whinney roaring people from wales. Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Mr Rage on July 25, 2006, 05:33:49 PM the most decent rock n roll band on the circuit is the gliterati, but i still wouldn't buy there album!

Hurricane Party (now Roadstar) are better IMO, and The Answer are meant to be very good Agreed! Now there is a worthy support act for GnR. The Glitterati are ok but nothing too special, like someone said, I wouldn't go out and buy their album. Roadstar/Hurricane Party kick ass though. Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Mr Rage on July 26, 2006, 06:13:23 PM i'm screaming out for a decent rock n roll band from the UK, i mean if the darkness can become big so can a band with some orignality!
Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Scabbie on July 26, 2006, 06:26:01 PM so what are these punks like? And have they talked about touring with GNR?
Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: gin hotel on July 26, 2006, 06:35:53 PM towers of london are a lot better than funeral for my valentine
Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: Mr Rage on July 27, 2006, 06:20:08 AM have bullet been booed, at every venue they have played while supporting GNR?

Well, my band has played with The Glitterati, Roadstar, The Answer & Towers Of London and I can say 100% that The Glitterati are by far the best band if you want something that sounds 'now'. The Answer are an amazing live band but very retro - so you need to like Free & Led Zep etc. Roadstar are too cheesy in my opinion. Towers Of London are a punk band - anyone comparing them to GNR is an idiot. They are a good fun band and should be taken for what they are. Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: KaptainKuntra on July 27, 2006, 07:11:58 AM Anyone know whos supporting at Wembley at the weekend and in what order they go on?
Title: Re: Towers of London supporting! Post by: sea of black on July 27, 2006, 07:39:13 AM Why can't we have a class support act, like the good old days of Faith No More and NIN.
I remember seen NIN at Wembley stadium, and there were only a few of us who had heard of them, the rest of the crowd were just looking at Trent rolling around on the floor! It was quite strange seeing NIN playing at something like 4.00pm in the afternoon, definitely needs to be dark for a NIN gig :hihi: |
