oh yeah, ive never been standing in N.I.A, are there guides for where to walk, as im going really early so i can get near front (maybe record if i can get a cam, or audio record it) and i dont wanna lose all that effort to not find my way to front and get stuck lol.

My wonderful hubby has just told me he got me VIP tickets for the show!!!!  Now in Block 3 right in the front row.  Selling  tickets in BLOCK 17 ROW M, 2 tickets, cant remember the seat numbers but its a good block right near the stage.  Selling at face value, plus booking charge from venue, any takers pm me.

I'm in a similar situation. I took my mrs to Hammersmith aswell. She loved it even though her feet were killing her as we were standing for hours.

After that she still wants to go to the NEC, standing again! What a trooper!  :peace:

Neither have mine - i ordered tickets for the chilis thru ticketmaster and they arrived about 1 ^1/2 to 2 weeks before the show (which is tomorrow) so i'd have a little patience (pun kinda intended)

Got my VIP tickets today.  These came directly from NEC.  The Ticketmaster ones (which I've sold) haven't come yet.  RHCP tickets from Ticketmaster had to be collected from the Ricoh because the bastards failed to deliver them.  Was I pissed or what!!?!!

Ticketmaster tickets arrived today by normal post so what the f**k did I pay the extra 'secure delivery' charge for!  Robbing bast**ds!!!  Anyway love the idea of a meet up but cant, I'm taking my boy (he's nine) and no way is he partying with you guys!!!

I might be able to attend a meet up at the arena before the show...


Never been to this place so I have no idea what there is to do around the NEC. Maybe there's a pub we could meet at....

iv been to this place before but not for years, from what i can remember theres not much to do outside the place, but its like a massive place, its a exhibition centre so there must be bars or something!!id like to meet with the legend that is jarmo  : ok: ;D

yeah well i live in birmingham so im happy to find out what is actually at nec but guys it is a huge exhibition centre near the airport.
I will be getting the train from brum city centre. is it true that it starts at 6.30! and doors open at 5! bit early aint it. iv never been to any concert before will be booking the day off work for it

i went to the hammersmith show and they didnt come on stage till late, my ticket says dorrs open at 5 pm and the show will start at 6.30, but thats for the support bands etc, GNR wont be on till around 9 if on time!!itll be cool to meet fellow GNR fans from this board, i will meet if there is a meet, i will be with my GF who only likes SCOM im hoping this show will change this, i will also have my AFD tattoo so must be careful!we need to get things sorted so, find out some info on bars or so!! : ok:

Well i was sitting around wondering if there are any rock bars in brum  ??? then i thought HARD ROCK CAFE!! yay. So i know the way from hard rock cafe to the train station, just a couple of quid to get to NEC and fast. or if we are going after I know the way then. We could just go for a drink or request guns n roses songs etc

that would be cool but two things

1. i have to go to the bham internatinal station to find my hotel first (do you know where the crowne plaza is?) then we'd have to meet again
2. would my mrs feel abit stupid in the pub, she just wears normal shit, not a chav or nuffin lol wb

Well two things firstly, yes i can find the crowne plaza. 2ndly hard rock cafe is full of normal people just going for meals etc. but they do have a bar of course. Im 20 and dont have any gnr tshirts dunno if i will get one for the concert. so i will just go in jeans and tshirt.

The NEC Arena is probably a 20min walk from their carparks (expensive) there are NO bars until you enter the main arena. There are plenty of booze venders there as long as you like warm carlsberg bottles   :rant:

However there is a mini-pub inside that sells draft beers and certainly big enough for you guy's to meet up..

Get ready for a long night... I don't think the NEC strictly runs a curfew because it is so far away from residential area's etc....

Anything purchased at the NEC is a rip-off (food & drink), remember to take a 2nd mortgage before you go.......

if you want to get to the front row you should be one of the first to enter the venue....    but you`ll get  to the front section even if you go late : ok:

Hi guys. I'm new to this forum. My name is Andy. Been a GnR fan for many years. I'm really looking forward to Axl coming to Brum. There is a great rockers pub called Coster Mongers----in the centre of town (just round the corner from virgin megastore)---juke box with AFD +UYI--pool etc. This would be a great place to meet, as new st station is only 2 mins walk and there are trains running to the NEC every few mins.

I can vouch for Coster Mongers. Excellent Rock Pub, I've been going there since 1988 although not so much the last few years. It has a Brilliant Juke-Box, Pin-ball, Pool table, and good beer!

There have been so many changes there over the years.. 1988 was like CBGB's for it's character and appeal.(shite hole) It's alot smarter now. It some ways areal shame...

well, i should b gettin into bham around 10ish, to sort out my hotel and stuff (could anyone from brum locate the crowne plaza as i am unsure where it is), but i will be game to meet, what time is everyone looking at??im thinking maybe some dinner with a few drinks then head to the venue in the evening ???

I was told today that the surgery i had last month didnt work and i have to go in for more surgery on monday and i am going to miss the concert at the NEC Birmingham on tuesday if you know anyone who wants the tickets i have 3 seated tickets block M row D.  i dont want anymore than cost price or i am happy to accept a reasonable offer. i live in northampton so they can be collected in person i have a paypal account and could send special delivery or i can arrange for you to meet my 2 friends at the venue who are still going. it would seem such a shame for them to go to waste and it would be nice to recoop some of the money. please contact me at parr13@btinternet.com or text/call 07742847757

They are playing in the NEC Arena, not the halls.  If you enter the Piazza you can go through Hall 2 into the Pavillion and continue on into the Arena.

yes everyone, we had everything from axl, even a stop the song for a rant at security guards , was a great gig, they played a huge set, did encore, axl really enjoyed our crowd and even said thanks after he had bowed.

really great gig, axl was r unning around like the old days!!! which is unusual!!!!!

the other band members looked rather happy and accepted for once

izzy came on which was great.

my only problem was, way too many instrumentals.

also i didnt know sebastian bachs solo group was playing so yeah...i also went mad moshing over that lmao!!!
