It sounds like they did in the early 90's. No standout song but nothing thats horrible either.

Bus Named Desire is my favorite.

Tommy plays on "Crazy Mixed Up World", "Bus Named Desire", and sings on "Oxygen". He also is playing on all 4 songs on the Bonus DVD.

Its pretty much what you would expect from Soul Asylum. No big surprises. There isn't a song that stands out as a big radio hit, in my opinion. Its a solid effort but I would have preferred something that didnt soundlike leftovers from '93. "Bus Named Desire" is best, "Great Exaggerator", "Good For You", and "Fearless Leader" are others I really like.

It's a great disc. I agree that alot of the onsg have a top 40 sound but I can't see it happening for Soul Asylum anymore. They ahve a very solid fanbase but going top 40 might be astretch at this point based purely on what's popular these days. Bus Named Desire, Standing Water, Lately and the "hidden track" are my favorites so far. Crazy Mixed Up World is likely my least fav on the album but strangely it's the one that gets stuck in my head the most :hihi: I have all their albums and I had to compare I'd say this one is kind of a mix between Grave Dancers Union(1992) and Hang Time(1988). If you're a Soul Asylum fan you'll like this album.  : ok:
