Title: Gnr had a better time in europe than in ... Post by: gandra on July 14, 2006, 02:16:09 AM US
If we make a comparation between usa 2002 andeurope 2006 we could see ,europe loves gnr more than norh america. in europe we have the most sold out dates, unless litle country like (hungary,sweden,norway...) had a soldout shows with 15000 and more people in atendance. If we went in 2002,we could see many arenas very empty 50%,in europe it didn't happen!!! So i think europe deserve one big tour after cd realisation Title: Re: Gnr had a better time in europe than in ... Post by: Where is Hassan Nasrallah ? on July 14, 2006, 02:28:16 AM different
times everybody will be happy, no need to compare. Title: Re: Gnr had a better time in europe than in ... Post by: SWINGTRADER on July 14, 2006, 02:31:25 AM This is the way I see it
South America ?adores GNR Europe likes GNR very much America ?despises ?GNR/Axl with a passion . ?Might be the most hates rockstar in the U.S . ? I don't see Axl having any success in the U.S ?with this new band. ? I just hope ?South America , europe and Asia ?will be enough to put him over the top . Post by: new-gnr on July 14, 2006, 02:36:33 AM i live in the us and it seems people only like gay rap and r&b....its sick really....even in 02 eurpoe killed the us in attendence...only problem is that the us counts heavily in popularity of a band.

Title: Re: Gnr had a better time in europe than in ... Post by: Continental Drift on July 14, 2006, 03:05:49 AM The US does NOT hate GN'R. I am quite confident that if Axl even just got the UYI line-up (with Matt and Gilby) together and hit the road in the states that it would be hottest ticket of the summer (new album or not). The US public doesn't buy into the new line-up yet. That's the problem. They've got to prove themselves in their own right before Americans are going to go ape shit over a GN'R with Axl and Dizzy as the only two familiar faces. The good news is they probably only need ONE great catchy hit song to pull this off (not a whole album's worth).... but until they do.... GN'R, as currently constructed, will only generate luke warm enthusiasm in the US.

Most people just think he's a crazy recluse touring with a GNR cover band. Once CD is released and Axl is in the spotlight again all will fine. Title: Re: Gnr had a better time in europe than in ... Post by: Albert S Miller on July 18, 2006, 12:36:01 PM Like the others have said, following the above mentioned guidelines, Axl's return here in the U.S. will be well accepted, I know many who cannot wait for this here in Seattle, and might I mention, for being so big in Europe I was at RIR this year and truley the people in Lisbon didn't really seem all that hell bent or at least if they were they were way to mellow for me, where as here in Seattle they would have rocked the roof right off of the event center, maybe it was just the difference from one culture to another, but really I felt like out of a hundred thousand people plus, I thought that the crowd would have been alot more powerful, it seemed as if most of them were taking a nap. Please don't take this as if I am trashing all over Europe cause I am not, it is a beautiful place to visit, and hopefully the rest of the tour has shown GNR alot more enthusiasm, in comparison.
