Its pretty scary, I mean they will have played almost 40 shows after july. ?I think they surpassed anyone's expectations of what kind of band they can be also. ?Axl clearly shows he still is the most wanted frontman, and GNR is still the most popular band. ?I hope They drop CD sometime between Sept-Nov., tour to end the year in NA.

I'm looking forward to August. ?It's the only time that they will have to devote to promotion.

Provided that the US tour actually goes down.

I'm sure we will at least get tour dates.

All we really know for sure is that August is going to prove to be both a decisive, and interesting month for both us and Gn'R... ;)

As we speak I would expect venues are being booked for the US tour with tickets being available within the next 6 weeks maybe? After Europe you would hope CD gets finalised and release date announced, maybe a couple of appearances or magazine interview (the usual PR that procedes a big album release) and then kick on into the US tour with the album coming out before the tour gets too far in.

However I wouldn't be surprised if the US tour kicked off without any of this happening ?:hihi:

I say they go back and decide a track list send the album to Geffen, then iron out a NA tour, Start said tour then the album leaks online and by thankgiving we get it for real

Hope they do come back to Europe. My only show was at Hammersmith a month ago, I'm missing the UK tour, and I'm already pining for another show or several. Maybe I'll have to go to the US tour!

I reckon if anything CD-wise is going to happen this year, we'll have to get something over Aug/Sept, otherwise there isn't sufficient time for promotion etc. for the Christmas period.

But we've had an extremely successful tour- the longest since 1993, and that has to be a great thing, right?

I expect them to take a little break.  They have all been away from home (with the exception of Brain) for a couple months.  I travel a bit for work and can understand how grueling trave can be - and I'm not even taking into account the fact that they live mostly on a bus or airplane!  Even with all the rockstar perks, they must need a little "home" with their families.

While they rest, the PR machine could be moving on setting NA dates and prepaing a CD release.  I sincerely hope they do not rest much, but expect they will take a month or so to breathe and reflect.

Well.  There's a Sept. show lined up; perhaps they all have to regroup in L.A. in August and rehearse songs from the new CD for the next leg of the tour. I'm talking "new" songs we haven't heard.  : ok:

There will be a press release before the first US dates....I am really confident of this.

If CD doesn't come out right before or right after the US tour starts, the tour is dead on arrival. It will last a month at the most without CD or an absolute release date that cant be backed out of.

Kaasu, you are right. Man, 3 and a half years since the 2002 tour is just not enough time to finish a cd (not to mention the 4-5 years before the 2002 tour)! Needs a little more time. :rant: :rofl: :hihi:

At this point, I think it is a necessity. 2002 was a disaster for several reasons, one of which was the lack of product.

Well maybe the success of the Euro tour will give axl the confidence of doing it all again with nothing.
