Title: Rock in Rio '06: Paradise City
Post by: LookingThruThisPOV on July 07, 2006, 12:03:49 AM
Just watched the clip from RIR06, Paradise City... wow... Axl's voice really has lost a lot of power.  Perhaps he should just sing his new songs and quit trying to belt out the old tunes.  What do you all think?  He's ruining classics like Paradise City by singing them like he did at RIR06.

I think he should do a show performing the Spaghetti Incident in it's entirety.

No, I think he should stick to the new stuff.  Imagine if he tried to perform Garden of Eden one night?  Wow... he'd mutilate that song!!!   :no:

he sang paradise city after 20 other song in the last donnington too, and PC there was amazing,
again, i think with the more show he does the better the voice goes

Here we go again.

 ::)

The sound board broke during the set - it's a known fact.

LookingThruThisPOV - what are your favorite songs from when you say Axl had a good voice?

Please provide exact dates and locations, thanks!

I personally think Axl's voice sounds fine during Paradise city I was just saying that if it appears the Axl has "lost power" that could be a reason. Also I fucking love that clip of Paradise at Donnington

You can file through any live footage of any performer and find strong and weak points.... Just because you found one clip where axl was tired from running around and singing all night doesn't mean axl doesn't 'have it'. I was at all NY shows and axl is back and can sing like a muthafucker. I just don't get why some people feel the need to be so fucking negative when axl didn't do shit for 4 years and now he's back singing, peforming, and looking great with a stellar band. Axl is back so be happy and excited not constantly bitching. FUck, is gnr not your favorite band?? If they are support them, if not why the fuck waste your time here posting negative shit... go for a run or bone your Girlfriend rather than wasting forum space

Thanks for the medly.... holy shit that just proved the idiot who started this thread that axl is back and can sing better than he has since 88. 'Take that one to heart"

Crash

This is exactly what I think and what I wanna say.
Donnington's footage is amazing, you must see it.

I happened to have been there and he was absolutely excellent, I also have the whole concert on video and of course it sounds alot different because it is not live, its a recording,   So really stop passing judgment on what you hear on a clip, unless you were at any of these shows, your opinion of clips you have watched really do not count  for much at all, so very kindly speaking, shut up!!!!!
