I love PERFECT CRIME. Whenever I have a bad day at work I love to blast that song on the way home! :hihi: The only thing is that when I try to sing along, I blow my vocal cords out! :hihi:

I hate that song. It just sounds like a stupid metal song for me. just noise. Definitely a filler and one of the worst GNR songs for me? :-X
there are lots of fillers on Use Your Illusion 1. Use 2 is much better, much more bluesy, subtil, and melodious.

I love the song.

I guess this thread came following the 'Axl's mad' one from Youtube?

The old band couldn't play this song live, it sounded a loud and messy, erm mess. Axl screamed the vocals and it was a train wreck.

I think the new guys could play it just as well, would be a good one for Izzy to join in with I think.

I am not 100 percent sure Axl can still pull it off vocally although his voice on the dbs ireland and novarock boots sound as good as he has sounded since 1993...............I prefer Double Talkin Jive with Izzy........and open with You're Crazy (Lies version) liek they did in 88

You really dont know that forsure.

I for one didn't think we'd hear Dont Cry ever again, in any compacity, and now Bumblefoot has made it a staple of their setlist.

Axl struggled singing this song live 13 years ago, I think it would be even harder now.

well i'm pretty damn sure that they won't play it.. and don't you think there's a difference between don't cry and perfect crime?.. don't cry was a huge hit and perfect crime was just another song of an album if you know what i mean

I'd rather hear Bad Obsession.  Better lyrics, easier on the pipes.

Well they didn't play Don't Cry circa '01-2002, so no, I dont really see a difference between the addition of a "big" hit, or just "another" song to the setlist...

back in 01/02 bbf wasnt in the band, and he was the one who gave idea about playing dc instrumental live.back then guess nobody got that idea. there is the difference

I know that, but just the same...if Gn'R managed to add Dont Cry to the setlist, nothing, including Perfect Crime can really be counted out.

Those opening two lines have more relevance than ever. Same with Out Ta Get Me.

I looooooooove Perfect Crime, and I'm even one of the people who prefers GNRs more melodious songs, like from UYI 2.

I have been thinking of that myself how I wish they would play Perfect Crime again.  It's just a rip your enemy's heart out and throw it on the table type of song.  I listen to it and I want to fight someone.

Used To Love Her fits that analogy better. They started by doing the acoustic version back in NYC, then made it a number with Izzy. Hopefully they'll throw it in every once and while from now on.
