I would say it was worth $450.00 US IMO. And thats pushing it. You can get U.S. strats all day long on e-bay and that Kahler bridge will actually bring the value down. Hence the $450.00 The reason Kahlers aren't popular today is because it zaps alot of sustain out of the guitar. Hope this helps. : ok: Title: Re: How much is this guitar worth? Back in the 80s Kahler was in competition with Floyd Rose for locking tremelos. Most people picked Floyd Rose obviously due to the sustain issue and overall ease of use. I don't think Kahler even makes that brand of tremelos anymore. Title: Re: How much is this guitar worth? Post by: Neemo on June 27, 2006, 02:17:33 PM no they don't...my buddy wants to get rid of it and we couldn't find a price for it after looking around but we did find that Kahler doesn't make the bridges anymore.
I was playing it last night...it's a decent guitar..apparently the colour is discontinued of the guitar is discontinued too so we weren't sure about that affecting the price...I do know that red isn't a very popular colour though for guitars... :-\ |
