Title: The next album after Chinese Democracy...
Post by: sea of black on June 27, 2006, 07:22:05 AM
I know CD hasn't even got a release date yet, but I was wondering if people think they will begin to record the follow-up soon after CD is released.

I've got really familiar with a lot of the new songs, and was wondering that if there aren't many surprises on CD (as we've already heard maybe 6 song that will probably be on it), will people be impatient to hear 'new' GNR material...

I guess my question is...will we have to wait 10+ years for a new new album?

 :nervous:

Well, having 3 albums worth of material and then  actually releasing  :no:it is something else, as we know...

Maybe I'm just getting tired of waiting...

I recall hearing about how Axl isn't sure which of the three albums certain songs will appear on, but not much in terms of when any of the phantom albums will be released.  For now, I'm simply going to hope for the arrival of CD...

CD will contain the strongest tracks, so if CD flops, there's not much hope for the 2 follow up cds  ;)

Lets just wait for Chinese to be released before talk of another album happens.

Yeah, I agree mega_music...

Let's get one album we've been waiting this long for out of the way, and then worry about the next album.

..have to say I wouldn't mind a two CD set released as Chinese Democracy I & II. ;D

What I've heard is that two albums are done, but they're still trying to decide what songs will be on the two albums.

i dont belive there are 3 albums ready to be released. there isnt even the first single for the first album yet.  they will have to move fast if they want to make any mark on the music biz. playing AFD over and over agian in europe isnt going to do it.

I want Ron Thal to have some creative input on either Chinese Democracy or the subsequent album - he's a hell of a songwriter.
