Title: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: dolphin on June 26, 2006, 02:30:14 PM I do.
Let's face it...after 2002, I am sure ClearChannel is watching the European shows very carefully. So in my opinion, Guns should so what Aerosmith and Motley Crue are doing. This just in.... Aerosmith, Motley Crue Set Joint Tour By Jonathan Cohen Reuters NEW YORK (June 22) - Enduring rock acts Aerosmith and Motley Crue are hitting the road together for the first time with a joint U.S. fall tour set to open September 14 in Holmdel, New Jersey. AP Steven Tyler's throat surgery forced his band to cancel dates back in March. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Cooler Rocks Out: What Songs Will They Play? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More Coverage: ? Aerosmith's Music ? M?tley Cr?e Music Talk About It: Post Thoughts The "Route of All Evil" tour will run for more than two months before wrapping November 24 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Pre-sales are underway for some shows via Aerosmith's Aero Force One fan club. Aerosmith has been off the road since March, when it was forced to cancel a host of dates with Cheap Trick due to frontman Steven Tyler's throat surgery. The group has been working recently on its next studio album, which will be the follow-up to 2004's "Honkin' on Bobo." Motley Crue will be extending its mega-successful reunion tour with its original four members, which began in February 2005. Since then, the group has grossed more than $45 million from 120 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore, 45 of them sellouts. "It's going to be quite a trip," Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry tells Billboard.com of the pairing. "I still remember when Motley Crue's first record came out. It was exciting to see them blossom. ... They really put on a rock show in capital letters. It is always inspiring to play with a band like that." Here are Aerosmith/Motley Crue's tour dates: September 14: Holmdel, N.J. Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: chineseblues on June 26, 2006, 02:31:25 PM No one. Guns are not gonna go on a co headlining tour with anyone now.

Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: dolphin on June 26, 2006, 02:33:01 PM No one. Guns are not gonna go on a co headlining tour with anyone now. Do you know that as fact? I think it'd be cool to see them coheadline with another big name act. Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: dolphin on June 26, 2006, 02:35:59 PM I don't think axl can bare it, with his arrival times GNR would go on 2nd :P Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: AxlsMainMan on June 26, 2006, 03:24:25 PM The Red Hot Chili Peppers would be a dream co-headling tour....
I dont think there is any other band out there right now Id want to see share the stage with Gn'R... Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: Pig Vomit on June 26, 2006, 03:25:18 PM GNR will do a solo tour first but I wouldn't rule out a co headlining tour later on. GNR and RHCP would be awesome.
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: wells on June 26, 2006, 03:29:11 PM GNR and NIN ... some old friiends in there :hihi:

And on the metallica tour, it was not really co headling, Metallica was really the opening act but gnr were just being nice by calling it co headlining. Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: SpUd_Jr on June 26, 2006, 03:41:24 PM If they did a co headlining tour with RHCP, I would die of happines.. :hihi:
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: southsiderwp on June 26, 2006, 03:43:33 PM It would be very wise to have a co headliner but still have guns n roses at the top of the bill. No more cky , mix master mike, bullet for my valentine. someone like nails as previously stated or another band of that calliber would put gnr right back on top again coinciding with the release of chinese democracy.
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: NickNasty on June 26, 2006, 03:50:34 PM No way...they gotta prove they can stand on their own legs, so to speak- have an album out, that's the key to getting hype for the US tour.
besides 'co-headlining' tours = even more ridiculous ticket prices and shortened setlists i saw the aerosmith/kiss tour in 2003 and was greatly dissapointed because each band had to cut what they played significantly-and the prices were pretty suck. Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: fridayfan13 on June 26, 2006, 03:51:49 PM no, just for the simple fact that guns would upstage their co-headliner every night
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: DEAD HORSE on June 26, 2006, 03:56:15 PM seriously, with VELVET REVOLVER, that shit would sell out stadiums in 0.02 seconds!!! :o that would be the best tour ever!!!
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: RageNirvanaNIN on June 26, 2006, 04:23:02 PM lol yea how about
GNR Feat. Velvet Revolver , Izzy and The Juju Hounds with special guest Adler's Appetitte NOW that be a show lol. RHCP n GNR i cant see it happening would be wierd , GNR need a solo tour for sure that is a def. So that people dont say well Axl n Co HAVE to have a co headliner because they can't handle a whole tour by themselves. People are always knockin axl for anything lol. Metallica would be interesting both have gone through changes since the last tour lol , people are always crappin on axl for w/e reason and people are always knockin metallica for napster and st.anger....lol it's perfect! Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: noonespecial on June 26, 2006, 04:38:02 PM actually the Ju Ju Hounds didn't sound half bad...Izzy could make some money...too bad he does not seem to like the rigors and schedules of live touring...that would be sweet though...the Hounds could alway go on first, and you know he'll get his own bus....this way if Axl wants to get his nails done or take the last plane, Izzy wouldn't have to deal with his drama (don't want the dude getting any bad flashbacks LOL)
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: bazgnr on June 26, 2006, 08:56:20 PM I think we need to recognize the difference between "touring with" and "co-headline." The former being a good match and a fun show, the latter being two bands of equal stature or status. To me, there are very few bands that can be true equals to GnR and qualify as "co headliners." Honestly, no one comes to mind.
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: uzisuicide2002 on June 26, 2006, 10:26:55 PM If they co line shows with a band it will be a band not as big as them. maybe Audioslave or Baz's band
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: damien24 on June 27, 2006, 03:28:45 AM lets think of good ideas for this again- no one was impressed with the opening acts last time around in the U.S they gotta do it right this time for sure.
so far we think Red Hot Chilli Peppers Metallica Velvet Revolver and other old members current bands Nine inch Nails I think Motley Crue doing an opening set would make for a kick ass night of music. lets face it- there is not to many (if any) newer bands that could bring added hype to a GNR show. Metallica and Nine Inch nails dont need to tour with axl again- instead THEY should do a show together. RHCP ....maybe- simply cause they are popular at the moment and can bring in the young kids- plus older people like em too cause they been around for a while. no one gives a damn about izzys or adlers new band- VR would be an interesting show- but very unlikly. i have a feeling GNR might headline a bunch of the radio festivals around the country- and do headlining shows in between- sorta like what they are doing now. Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: oldgunsfan on June 27, 2006, 09:21:08 AM I would love for GnR to co-headline with VR for the simple fact that I could see my 2 favorite bands at the same venue on the same night .....i would just have to control my drinking :hihi:
With this tour, they could have Izzy guest spot in two bands If not VR, Buckcherry or Wolfmother could open for them........ Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: Neemo on June 27, 2006, 10:38:07 AM IMO they will not co-headline a tour
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: slashedtires on June 27, 2006, 10:51:33 AM I think GNE would be better suited by taking a up and coming band like Wolfmother with them.
Bands like Bullet for my Valentine and CKY have their fans, but are generally not the same as the average GNR fan. I think the average GNR wants a hard rock band they can sing along to as an opener... Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Kind of like when GnR opened for Aerosmith :hihi: I went to one of those shows in Philly and at the time, GnR was just about the biggest band around because of SCOM Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: gilld1 on June 27, 2006, 02:41:50 PM Slashedtires, I agree. They need an up and coming band with a built in audience. Bands like the Strokes, the White Stripes, Kings of Leon that have sold decent amounts of albums and will draw people there. The new Alice in Chains would be a good fit too.
Title: Re: Who thinks GUNS will co headline with another band when they tour USA? Post by: dave-gnfnr2k on June 27, 2006, 02:43:14 PM just let soul aslyum open. Tommy could do both sets. Both bands win :peace:
