Title: Great new singer in the last 5 Years
Post by: Mr. Dick Purple on June 25, 2006, 01:42:16 PM
Is kinda stupid the question but, who do you think is a great new singer in the last 5 years I haven't heard any rock band with a great singer, I was searching in other categories of music and I think that they aren't any good one to seek for, if anyone has any good recomendations feel free to post.

Um, by old singer I assume you're talking about Scott Stapp? Because Alter Bridge has only had one singer, this Myles Kennedy, who is in this video.

Anyway, yeah I agree, Myles is a great singer, has a bit of Chris Cornell style.

The singer from Aussie band The Butterfly Effect (who I'm always raving on about!) is great too. Check out vocalist Clint Boge in their latest filmclip here:

Great choice :D

Reminds me of Chris Cornell when he still put some passion, and soul into his singing... : ok:

i cant stand threedaysgrace, or any other of these t-shirt wearing can-con band that would never hear their stuff on the radio unless the government stepped in and said we need too.   these guys will tour the canad-inn bars for the next couple of years and fizzle away-  maybe the singer will try to start a solo-thing-  but it'll end up the same.

Jimmy Gnecco.

I've actually met those guys and hung out with them one night.? He's got a 7 octave range in his voice.? The downside to him is he screams too much.

I can't wait for their new album with Rick Rubin producing. : ok:

Cedric from At The Drive-In and Mars Volta. He has an awesome range, and can hit the high notes live too.
