Looks like a page where registered users can leave comments. Hard to say if the GNR date is confirmed. There's even a link to your site  :hihi:

Yeah I saw that, that is actually how I found it...

temmuz seems to mean July, so since you can see "12 temmuz 2006 guns n roses istanbul konseri" I guess it meant that GN'R will appear in Istanbul...

It kinda makes sense since it's close to Athens...

It's good to see the band isn't just taking the cancellations as a way to get extra time off, and getting extra dates in countries that weren't on the itinery before.
Great for Turkey, great country. And if the crowds anything like the footy fans, they'll go wild!!

LOL at this press release:

Press Release
THE RETURN OF GUNS N' ROSES

Phenomenal rock giants Guns N' Roses, one of the greatest bands of all time, have been confirmed as the headliner for Istanbul at Kurucesme Arena at July 12 , 2006.

Guns N' Roses' performances over the past decade have been an extreme rarity and Rock Istanbul Org./Supernova Concerts by arrangement with John Jackson at K2 Agency can confirm they will be exclusively providing the only Turkish show by Guns N' Roses in 2006. With this confirmation and the forthcoming release of Guns N' Roses' long-awaited new album, this certainly promises to be a great year for GN'R and their devoted fans.

Guns N' Roses' vocalist Axl Rose said, "The UK and Europe have always been special for me. After our last great shows there, we are all very excited and looking forward to getting back over there and in front of such great audiences. It is for me an honour and a privilege that none of us take for granted. We look forward to seeing all of you this summer!"

With new songs Axl?

I take exception to some of the wording of the press release

"one of the greatest bands of all time" - yes, indeed Guns were, the lineup from 87-93. It's misleading and not a little ludicrous to add things like that - it implies Izzy, Slash, Duff etc.. are playing with Axl. Because this current incarnation can lay claim to no such thing

Well, guess what:

THE POINT YOU'RE "TRYING TO MAKE" HAS BEEN DISCUSSED TO DEATH.

THAT'S WHY IT BELONGS TO DEAD HORSE.

This thread is about the concert in Istanbul on July 12th. The future.

Not about the past...

Hi everybody,

I have been reading and tracking HTGTH and this forum for about about 5 years now, each damn day.

Today as I was lynig sick and watcing TV, I saw a short sentence right at the bottom of my tv screen.

" Guns N'Roses at Kuru?eşme Arena 12th of  July "

To me, this is the best news I can get in my entire life. I missed the previous GNR concert in İstanbul in 1993 because I was not considered old enough by my parents, and that always gave me a heart ache.

Now, as I was there at Kuru?eşme Arena for Roger, I was dreaming for a possible GNR concert. I guess now it is 100% confirmed that Axl Rose will kick the Bosphorus' ass.

After a wait lasted 15 years, today I am one of the happiest men on the earth.

I guess a larger place for the show would be better but who cares...15.000 were there a week ago for Roger Waters.

It's not about blindly worshiping Axl. It's about something that has already been discussed to death. The posters opinions about "why this band is not Guns N' Roses and it's not what it used to be with the old members".

Findind a reason to talk about it in every possible thread is beating a dead horse...

There will be more similar press releases. Should we find a word or a phrase in each of them to compare the old band to the new one? NO.

Those who abuse and insult other posters get negative karma. Have you gotten one yet? No... You've been asked not to talk about stuff that has been beaten to death by 2 moderators and you insist you're right.

Well guess what. Next time there won't be a warning or an explanation, that has been done already. There will be negative karma.
