is there a quality loss when you film in lp mode instead of sp mode?

LP normally means double the time half the quality, at least for VHS video. As for DV, well i should image the same applies. If it did nor apply then why have tapes marked 60 if they are good for 120  ;D

The 60 minute limit is a bitch and i am sure they did this (the makers) to make life difficult for people recording DVDs to DV for copying purposes  ;)
